People saying John is nervous… this guy is a savage he doesn’t give a fuck about the media, he plays the game and gets home to his farm just in time to paint and watch the sheep… a true guitar legend. John Squire was heavily criticised in the UK press, who suggested that he was deliberately difficult. Mancunians, like most folk in the North of England, are usually very succinct.

Classic John Squire, first interview as the Stone Roses I'd ever see was brutal for any host. I think it's John's go-to for humour. Never give too much away, he's all about the music, not his personal life. How many of us were waiting for Ian Brown's name to be thrown in. 😂 Jonathan Ross at his best. Brilliant

I thought John was actually showing the signs of just being a normal person, in these days of talk shows etc everyone thinks the guests need to act like a star and be extroverted, he was just acting normal, I think anyone knocking that don't know what normal is !

I’m from the UK but now live in the Pacific Northwest of America. We have a farm and there are two types of woodpeckers on it. One is a bit smaller and the other is pretty fookin large. I always think that when other animals see them they must shit themselves and steer clear. Just some animal smacking their head repeatedly against a tree. No one wants that smoke man. No one. Imagine seeing a bloke in the pub doing that. You would leave it well alone.

John siempre ha sido una persona muy introvertida. Desde los años 80s cuando estaba en Stone Roses, la prensa de UK ya lo criticaba por eso! Pero él simplemente es introvertido y se concentra en su trabajo como músico. Mucha gente muy talentosa es introvertida y prefiere el silencio a hablar como papagayo!

John is an unusually introverted guy, you'd think after 30+ years in the public eye and interviews he would have come out of his shell a bit That isn't a criticism by the way, I've been a Roses fan for years so I know what he's like, but it's quite extreme in his case, he really doesn't engage in talk at all

I don't know what happened to John. How can someone write an album like Second Coming and Do It Yourself and be able to write such awful songs like these. I never had expected a full collaboration between Liam and John to be awful, but awful it's short... This was pure trash. Liam has never sung more ridiculous nonsensical lyrics in his life. Maybe Liam should've helped a little with the songwriting because these are probably the worst songs ever associated with Liam.

John Squire is pathetic IMO. A joke. It might be his 'way', but can't deny its a bit silly.
