CGTN Icon interviews Turner Prize winner Anish Kapoor
Anish Kapoor is a British sculptor, specializing in installation and conceptual art. He was the first living artist to be granted a solo show at the Royal Academy in London. Kapoor represented Britain at the Venice Biennale in 1990; the following year, he won the Turner Prize, and in 2002 he received the Unilever Commission for the Turbine Hall at Tate Modern in London. As one of the most influential sculptors of his generation, his notable public sculptures include Cloud Gate in Chicago's Millennium Park; Sky Mirror, exhibited at the Rockefeller Center in New York City in 2006; and ArcelorMittal Orbit, commissioned as a permanent artwork for London's Olympic Park and completed in 2012. This is Anish Kapoor's first large-scale public solo exhibition in China. At two venues - the Imperial Ancestral Temple and the CAFA Art Museum - it features the artist's major works spanning 35 years, including four large-scale installations and stainless steel sculptures. In this episode of ICON, Ji Xiaojun talks to Anish Kapoor about his China exhibition, his development as an artist, and his creative ideas during different periods of his career.

Funded by the chinese govt. Wouldnt be hard to force people to subscribe or have bots do it. Also makes sense to have a chinese govt funded channel do a fluff piece on a scumbag like anish

@@mrdeane Look into him more he copyrighted a new colour so no other artists or anyone could use it ever... Then a UK artist produced a colour darker and better than his and very cheap for all to buy and he hated it! He is a stuck up entitled twat and his art to me is not amazing it's just often huge.... He will never be on a skill level or talent with someone like Bacon.... imho lol
Wow, I felt in love with his artworks, specially the massive ones. His explanations were really understandable.
