Dances of Central Asia (particularly Uyghur, Uzbek, Afghan, Kazakh, Tajik) are my absolutely favourite. Shout out to all my wonderful teachers who introduced me to these beautiful dances!

i’m speechless. i watched this video 3 times in one sitting with my parents next to me. they couldn’t believe the talent that you carried. we’re of central asian descent (uzbek and turkmen) and we were in awe and couldn’t believe our own eyes at this talent. thank you for making this. you did amazing.

It would be lovely if you did a video on different dances within a country. Like in Afghanistan we have different type of attan, khattak attan, qataghani, etc. Or in Tajikistan they have kulobi, Pamiri, novajot etc.

Thank you!! :)) To add, Central Asia is a mixture of Iranian, Turkic and Mongolian peoples and cultures. Mind the names, Turkish is a branch of Turkic, so I didn't perform Turkish dances here, because Turkey is in West Asia. Also, Chuvashia isn't here, since it's considered Eastern Europe.😅

In fact, the dances of Turkic peoples are completely different: check Turkish, Azeri, Kazaň Tatar, Tuvan, Uzbek dances... You can't expect linguistic ties to shape cultural heritage which tends to be regional. So Western/Aegean Turkish dances are closer to Greek dances, Eastern Turkish to Kurdish dances, Azeri dances to the dances of the neighboring peoples of the Caucasus and Persia, Uzbek dances to Tajik dances, Tuvan dances to Mongol ones, etc.

I learned Azerbaijan Scarf Dance from your movements. Only one point here, the Uzbekistan's Khoazm Dance you dance is Women's style no I would like you to dance men style for the next time around. I know that you dance excellent in both men and women's styles.
