I first heard Lionel in the mid 90s at night on a small Reno or Las Vegas radio station when I was working and living way out deep in the southern Nevada desert. It was one of two stations I could get with talk and it was not a strong signal. I sometimes did not see people for days where I was at so radio conversation at night was like opening KZread for me then. I did not care for his politics or his POV back then but I enjoyed listening to him regardless. He sometimes got under my skin but his style and his eloquence was always appealing as a listener. Now that we are both on the same wavelength politically I find him just as entertaining and his wry sense of humor and ability to create a sense of mirth for the audience is even stronger than it was then. I believe he would be a great choice as a White House Press Secretary because he knows both sides so well and he is fair. The American people will respect that.
