I bought a cavapoo she is months, Nd lover her. Fits perfect in our home. Very calm, picky eater. Is lovable. Doesnt really bark. Cries for attention if she isn't getting it. Very friendly dog. Easy to train. Not hyper at all.

We just put down our beloved Oliver cavipoo. Best companion ever! Great with any other dog or cat, ate a wide variety of foods...I cooked for him. Did gain weight but found out my husband was treating him when I wasn't around. He loved walks, my kids, toys, car rides and adventures. Was funny and cuddly. Would go on "dates" for the weekend with my mother-in-law during Covid to keep her company. Couldn't ask for a better pupper. I miss him dearly.

We have had our Cavapoo, Colin, for two years now. He is a cross with a miniature poodle so is a small dog with blond fur. He was top of the class at training sessions and is just adorable. Never bites, only barks occasionally, loves other dogs and other people. I have never owned a dog before because of an allergy but I have no such issues with Colin. I would also say that Cavapoos are a much better bet than having a Cockerpoo because they are a lot calmer and less "jumpy".

i have an darker apricot cavapoo , and he is so friendly to the point where he will cry if someone doesn't pet him , but he has got so much better with that as he has got older. i am only a teenager and i do everything for him because he is my best friend , he is super easy to train but is super fussy with food but not treats , so weight has never been an issue , he is so perfect in every way ,couldn't recommend them more.

3:45 Looks so much like my boy, Buddy. He was the sweetest, friendliest dog I've ever had. Was so easy to train. He passed away 6 months ago at age 11.5 yrs. and I still miss him so much. Cavapoos are wonderful dogs. The only down side is they can have several health issues.

@@micger Cavalier King Charles can have several health issues. If looking for a Cavalier or a Cavapoo, you should check into the health profile of the puppy's parents. However, my understanding is that many of the health issues aren't detected until the dog is 5 yrs & older. This information may not be complete & for more details, I suggest you Google CKC health issues or ask your vet. Cavaliers can have these health issues: heart problem- mitral valve disease (MVD); knee problems- luxating patella (loose joint, knee slips out of place); eye problems- cataracts and retinal issues; hip dysplasia; allergies; tendency to develop diabetes as they age. My dog, Buddy, had the heart problem (MVD mitral valve), eye issues (cataracts & glaucoma) and diabetes. The heart problem is detected by the vet listening to the sound of the heartbeat. When they suspect heart issue, they do an echocadiagram to confirm. Buddy's was not detected until age 7. The eye issues & diabetes didn't occur until last year of his life, age 10.5. I have had many dogs during my life. As the age, just like people, they develop health problems. Cavaliers & Cavapoos can have several health issues, but they are wonderful dogs. I don't regret having a Cavapoo, he was worth it, even with health problems & a shorter life span. I've loved and cared for all my dogs. No matter what age they lived to....it wasn't long enough for me.

I have a Tri-colour Cavapoo. Hes a big sweetheart and but very territorial. Cavapoo's are so sweet, tho mine doesn't like other animals apart from dogs. Meh, I guess thats just him. Would never ever get rid off him, he completed our family! I'm just desperate to know what his dad (the poodle) looked like and what kind of poodle he was. My Cavapoo is 45cm and 14kg, we thought 14kg was abnormal so we went to the local pet store and they said that he's a good weight for his size. I still dont really find it normal for a Cavapoo to be so big.

Our Cavapoo is exactly as described only better! Best dog ever! I am completely addicted to her. I highly suggest getting one!

Make sure you meet the mother of the pups to make sure it’s not from a puppy farm. I have a cavapoo and she’s three years old and we absolutely love her. If it’s crossed with a miniature poodle it will be bigger than if it’s crossed with a toy poodle. Also make sure to get the heart rate tested at the vets as cavapoos sometimes suffer with increased heart rate. Lastly, if your puppy barks a lot then try to train it not to as early as possible because we never did and our cavapoo likes to bark a lot 😂 other than that they are amazing dogs and I would absolutely recommend getting a cavapoo because they have amazing temperaments, are great with children and other dogs, quick learners and are very friendly. its very common for cavapoos to have seperation anxiety expecially when they are puppies. make sure you spend lots of time with him and make sure he gets used to other people! if he’s only with you 24/7 he will follow and depend on you for everything. this can be good sometimes but it does get annoying when they wont interact with others.

Tara, I had a very sweet Cavapoo, named Buddy. He was a kisser, too. Loved everybody, was always thrilled to see people & I believe it actually hurt his feelings if people didn't notice him & pet him. He couldn't get enough attention & petting. A dog trainer told me that kissing (licking) was a puppy thing & dogs grew out of that as they grew up. But Buddy never did. He was a sweetheart-he was the best dog I ever had, very smart & easy to train. I hope you have fun with your Cavapoo.

Yeah, it was a little weird. But it’s also sort of true. Lol Just speaking from my own experience, my dog needed more exercise when he was younger (not unusual), but now he’s pretty much a couch potato with periodic bursts of energy.

How many cross breed dogs do we need is this not causing a lot of people to breed "designer" dogs I have Cavaliers and there is nothing better do not need to cross and tag name. i get your'e point because animals are a huge part in my life , but this isn't doing anything to harm them , these are loved dogs and actually they aren't really used for the reason people think they are , they also wouldn't like it and would clearly tell the owner ,they are honestly the best breed in my opinion and my boy is perfect.

Bit of a daft comment. In an ideal world we would get our pet dog from the local shelter but temperament/behavioural issues and managing allergies can be restrictive. All dogs deliberately bred are "designer dogs" so I see little difference in purchasing a pure bred (say) Cavalier or a Cavalier Poodle cross other than the fact that a mongrel, albeit a designer mongrel, will be more likely to be a healthier dog than a pure breed. You sound like a race supremacist for the dog world - most people just want a family pet with a good temperament and intelligence and if they are cute and do not shed then all the better.

Robert Shepo if it weren’t for ‘designer’ breeds, people who have dog allergies like myself wouldn’t be able to experience the joys of having a dog! I don’t react to any dog mixed with a poodle and my family has several that after years of wanting a dog I finally get to enjoy and love. Not everyone is equipped for handling a full bred poodle (which require very high levels of activity) so breeding them with more mellow dogs gives a wider range of people the opportunity for the companionship of such a lovely animal!
