Research it and you’ll see that WE THE PEOPLE are being punished by the Biden Administration’s unwillingness to release drilling permits so that we can be independent again. If they are vocal about wanting or planning to ban Russian energy imports when the US is self sufficient, what makes them think that Russia might just think the hell with supplying US energy needs before the self sufficiency happens? Why not leave the US up the creek without a paddle, if the imports are going to stop at some point anyway? Russia would lose the income from shutting off the exports early, but the way Putin currently operates, his Russian self interest, or aggression if you will, seems to go beyond merely what is best for his country's economy.

What was wrong with the Russian energy? It was cheap, and reliable. What was the problem actually? Europe still gets most of the Diesel from Russia, via India, and to a higher cost, but it is still from Russia. What was solved really? Again, what was the problem with getting energy from Russia?

Russia decides its had enough of NATO (rightfully so imo) backing Ukrainian insurgents against Russian separatists in the Donbas region (bombarding them since the Obama era) Then with U.S. backing (under the current Biden administration ) NATO let's it be known they're considering Ukraine's partnership into the outdated organization setting off Russia's incursion into Ukraine (both in 2014 and 2022). You with me so far? The first thing NATO implements (encouraged by the U.S.) is monetary sanctions on Russia , there by ending their received oil purchases from? you guess it , Russia! Causing energy panic and inflation throughout Europe. So I say again , who's laughing now? Certainly not NATO and especially not Germany. I hope this clears things up. Trump not only was right , but Russia never would have engaged in conflict if he was still in office, because NATO was also kept in check by the Don. All facts. Disagree?

Its how it has always worked, checks and balances. no hearings means the public wont be informed at all. At least holding the hearings gives people who are interested, an opportunity to hear and see their representatives at work. Same Secretary (while Governor of Mich) that built windmills farms on farmland near Lake Huron I had Michigan as a territory a few years back. I asked the farmers what purpose the windmills served. Not one of them could answer only saying they had no choice of where they were built and that they were interfering with their farming A true bureaucrat!
