Electricity bills here have doubled in two years. Rent has gone up 40%. Gas has doubled. Food costs overall are around 25% higher. Add it all together and that $1000 we used to have leftover every month to save is completely gone.

Engineers were nonpolitical and just wanted to keep the utilities running, but the socialists in govt claimed that spending money, importing parts, shutting down for repairs, etc., was a deliberate act of wrecking the system as an attack on the regime. They then accused, arrested, prosecuted, and convicted those engineers for doing their job helping the people. Bureaucrats are weak and fearful. Anyone who tries to quote the price of solar or wind is lying. Do not trust them. Solar panels & hardware may have a fixed cost to purchase. There may even be a fixed cost to install & maintain them. But the amount they produce, and thus the $/kWh cost of the electricity they produce, depends on where & how they are installed. If you install them in western NY, they will produce half the power as in southern CA, which means the electricity they produce is twice as expensive. Add to that the problems of what to do if there's overproduction, such as paying for battery backup, selling to the grid, etc., which increases the cost further. I live in a location that's pretty good for solar--not the best, but good. Solar would cost me ~$0.16/kWh over the life of the system before accounting for storage, etc. Installing a large system with backup in a location with improper seasonal or just bad solar potential can easily see real costs twice that. Can you afford spending over $0.30/kWh? Most people can't. And that's not a bug. It's a feature. This admin and other so-called 'environmentalists' want to make energy so expensive that you can't use it. And if you can't use it, then you can't emit. They claim it's to save the planet, but it's really just about keeping you down. A poor and starving population can't challenge who is in power.

Still trying to find somebody, anybody, in the Biden Administration, who knows what they are talking about. Granholm, Yellen, Buttigieg, K. Harris, Joe Biden himself (?), . . . anybody?

This is the behavior seen in CA--it's bad to do a thing inside the state, but they will gladly accept it shipped in when it's done outside the state. - Low wages are banned in the state, but they gleefully import everything made with slave labor in china. - There can be no mining for raw materials, but they eagerly mandate the use of devices that require toxic strip mining in Congo (by child slave labor). - Emissions are not allowed in the state, but they are perfectly fine outsourcing that production to places emitting more than triple what would have been released if done locally--plus all the filthiest emissions from sea transport.

I'll bet my next energy bill that her or her husband have stocks in "green energy" companies.

They preach about all the drill permits out that are not being used, but they fail to tell you they are not approving permits for the infrastructure needed roads, power, water, pipe lines, and sewer. Drill permits kinda useless without that.

My home is energy efficient. My electric bills this time of year have been about $90. My last bill was $160. Duke energy is yet again going for a rate increase of about 5%. Your administration can "care" all they want, and they don't, but that doesn't do squat for my electric bill. Why would I want a pricey electric vehicle to plug into my home and make my bill go up even higher? Plus, I like my house and don't want it to catch fire.
