Hi there, I just want to say thank you for uploading this video and showing us it is possible to catch fish (especially trout) at New Melones. I've heard of the reservoir and I ave fished there a coupw times. The first time I went there was around August. I went fishing under the bridge but didn't catch anything (I did see some bass along the shore). Second time I was there I went to the tuttletown recreation area early in the morning of September. I saw a lot of bass swimming close to the shore and even a large catfish. By the end og the day I caught a small bass using a rainbow trout colored spoon (i had to let it sink deep). Third timeI went was in December, and I went back to the bridge. I got skunked that day. And the most recent time was last month. I took a friend out there to fish and we went to fish past Angels Creek boat lunch. We got skunked and worst was my Carolina rig snagged onto something below the water. I didn't have a longer rod like the one in your video so i had to cut the line. Anyway, although the reservoir is massive, watching your video has encouraged me to try fishing there again. I like to use a lot of spoons and my rapala countdown lures, but at least I now know powerbait will definitely work out there if i fish close to the shore. Thank you again for showing us you van catch fish from the shore and hopefully I can catch something out there (maybe a brown trout if I'm lucky)!

How long is your leader from swivel to hook? Most guys look for deeper water, but you do very well...

Another awesome video dude! I fished that lake a handful of time with some friends but we never caught trout from the bank. Most of the time we're trolliing the dam or the river arm. I guess bait is the way to go.

Zero hero, I know you are the older brother of Arnold and Richard. The way you fish and the species you target makes it noticeable for me. Good video. Keep it coming.
