and this also works with dogs, "you can use carpet instead if you like"

oMGoodness, my husband has vacation coming up. This would be so fun to do together (for me, at least😊) We've a 7 month Begal who's a Complete Spaz!! I think he'd Love this. Yeah, I can make this! Didn't think I could make the wheel but I can certainly make this. My indoor cats are going through what I call the "Juvenile Delinquent" stage and they need something for that pent up energy. No doubt they are going to love this! She is about how my cat would be. Lol. Only food would make her try it. My snow shoe female is about 28 pounds. The vet says she has a really big frame for a female but still is 6 pounds over weight. I just started her on Dr Marty’s cat food. It’s organ meat. Naturally what cats eat in the wild. Organs!!!!!

I like this design! First time I've seen it. I'm probably repeating comment ideas here. The big round ones are either expensive or difficult to make. This one is MUCH, much SIMPLER to make for DIY. No complicated big circles to make. Maybe if I hang a nice morsel of food by a string close to the top, kitty would try to chase it. IDK, but I'm going to try it. Or maybe I could use it! LOL! Hey! You could put carpet on the uprights to double for scratching posts! Great design, young lady! Easy storage, too! Thank you!

Very interesting, I wonder if I could make a larger version for my dogs.

OMG!! You Big Girl is Hilarious!! I loved, loved it..I have 2 Big male Tuxedos, 1 Big male Maine Coon, 1 Big Female Calico.. The tuxedos, and female would love this idea just for the treats!! Your Big Girl got the look like " what the heck is wrong with the floor here? " I totally can see my Cat Clowns doing this, just for the treats very good driven! Thank for the idea I live in Maine, in rural area, and very close to the road so their all inside cats, But they have a 10x8 cat ratio out side, rain, shine, wind, or snow!! They love to come in and squeggie off on me!

Pawsome I love love love it and I have lots of wood pieces just waiting for a project. We have 10 kitties not indoor but they love to lounge about (all of them are cuddling on the bed with me right now) 😹😹 Can't put this outside because the silly puppy will make mincemeat of it with her big body and pawz. Just found your channel (Charlie's rescue) and subscribed because your kitty contraptions are divine. TYFS 🐱💕🐱💕

How'd this hold up? Did they ever get running smoothly on it, or is that more of a wheel thing?

My cats at the time only would use it for a few steps. My kittens were too light to use it and preferred a wheel.

awesome kitty exercise apparatus! How about dangling a toy mouse with cat nip up on top of treadmill area? Something to motivate them to try it on their own.

@@CatToyLady My thought was to add two blocks on the inside, at the foot of each upright. Then I'd drill two holes and use nuts/bolts so they'd stay up when I want, but I could take one bolt out and loosen the other and allow them to turn on the bolt and lay down. They don't look like they'd hit the other feet unless you have really tall uprights.
