Absolutely brilliant. I totally agree. When people think "make it out of cardboard" they think it'll be bad but no, there's all sorts of building techniques that people don't think about. Layering cardboard over each other at a joint for strength, using a palm sander to grind square edges into round ones, etc. When you acquire enough skill, you'll be a cardboard sculptor and can make anything you need for (almost) free PLUS your cat will love it more. I've spent too much on cat furniture only to build it myself like you. That ramp looks stable and cats love that texture.

Kudos for you putting it all together by yourself that's like me everything I do by myself but I did notice the catio is very frail and the roof is flat if it starts raining then cats are out there they're going to get soaked

Omg, you made this look so easy. 😂 Me and my husband had so much trouble figuring out what side was inside vs out, and what side faced towards the ground. It took us two days. We must be idiots; your video was a life saver. 🤣🤣

Schön das man Kätzchen darin laufen sehen konnte. Also das Teil dreht viel zu schwer und stabil ist es auch nicht. Krach macht es auch. Ich werde da lieber ein stabiles aus Holz bauen mit einem Radlager. Kommt dann an die Wand oder auf ein Gestell. Anleitungsvideos gibt es ja genug hier in YT.

You did a great job explaining each portion of the construction. I estimate that you had to cut 36 4 inch pieces of paper for the outside and glue them each on. You did an awesome job it looks great

I tried foam and got the prints perfect, left it to dry and the foam made the prints more than halfway disappeared because the foam rose like bread I need a different clay that works without a kiln
Without seeing a cat on it, hard to take her word for it. Foamboard and tape does not inspire confidence. And it does not move easy - you can hear how much friction there is.
I wish you showed how to measurements of the window and where to measure so I can do the same. As you said each window is different. I need more visual instructions.

from one cat lover to another your amazon and beautiful people.. how can any scum bag do this to a tiny harmless kitten or any animal .. we had 8 rescue kittens but sadly 4 of them put down we had them 16 years and got ill with some form of cancer the 4 younger rescues are round 10 years old and plodding on well ....if there were more kind loving people the planet would be better place to live..love from the uk

Wonderful video! Thank you! I'm making a hedgehog feeding box, and not one of the how-to videos comes anywhere near this. And we don't all have the sophisticated equipment commonly used in these videos. I have used my hair dryer and made a perfect square hole in less than 5 minutes.

Great work! I also built an encolsure solo, it's hard work! Just a really important point, i think you need to screw it down onto the platform, as you don't want it falling off and injuring your cats. Apologies if I missed you doing this, as I didn't have time to watch the whole video through.

Personnelly. You ought to take cat to cat cattery. For nail. Trim. Wrapping. Him. Up. So. He cant move. And he cant. Is not fair
What about rain? Why didn't you put a piece of plexiglass on top, secondly, stapling the mesh around the box should've been reinforced by folding something maybe waterproof folding the mesh around it twice then stapling ( galvanized ) staples ( outdoor ) to prevent rusting & to keep the mesh from stretching in case your cat leans against it tearing the mesh from the staples. Love the steps and idea, however that is a long drop possibly causing injury to your furry friends.

Something that really freaked me out and it worked that would work brilliantly with this if you put a sticker between their ears, their brain focuses on that
I thought my cat would never calm down with this. I had a vet service come to my house and my cat was terrified but once zipped in she instantly relaxed and even purred with it on as I rubbed her head. Couldn't believe it. Didn't even flinch when her blood was drawn from each front leg.
