It's extremely common for a domestic cat to be a mother to tiger cubs or puppies or any other animal- especially after she loses her own litter.

I live in Bucharest and I can tell you with certainty that this story never actually happened at the Bucharest zoo. Look at some videos on this channel and you will see that they are all the same, just photos and a narrative that has nothing to do with the respective photos. These make fun of their followers or maybe measure their intelligence quotient and critical thinking.

I think the emotional responses that animals display, whether wild or domestic, goes way beyond what we give them due credit for. This is just one proof of how deep the love between mother and young , often is. that's not the only detail that is wrong. At one pint he mentions the 2 cubs purring, but tigers can't purr, same as a cat can't roar

She looks like A BLACK CAT to me. Not a tabby cat. So beautiful this black cat looked after the two cubs and so beautiful they got to meet up again. To these tiger's she's mum. The love of these three is so beautiful.

There are black tabby cats and they look nothing like this black cat. Tabby cats have strips and a black tabby cat has mostly orange fur with dark black stripes.

What’s important in this true story isn’t the color of the cat or what kind she is , the lesson for me was , love never fails !! The motherly love and compassion this cat displayed towards these cubs is what true motherhood is all about, the love these cubs gave back to her is what matters and what the lesson / story is all about . This story isn’t true. It’s a fake generated story, non of the facts are verifiable and this certainly didn’t happen in Bucharest zoo or any other zoo with reporters covering it. Interspecies raising of cubs/young do happen occasionally both in captivity and sometimes (but rarely) in nature, however I think channels like this are cruel for their scams about fake emotional animal stories.

I would have found this video quite a bit more credible if there were some actual photos of Sasha, the black cat and the 2 tigers she supposedly raised standing side by side when the the tigers had grown significantly larger than their surrogate mother. Especially on their much-vaunted reunion 3 years later, which was highly anticipated and should have had several cameras ready to document the moment.

We once had a mother cat and her kitten. They grew up together. When the mother was about 10 years old, and the kitten 9 years old. The mother cat wandered away and got lost. We found her a few weeks later and brought her home. Well, her son didn't remember her and was afraid of her. It took them a few days to get to know each other again. So, I don't think this story is true. Even though it's nice and I wanted to hear the end.

Because it's unlikely that it's true.Widcat cubs wouldn't be abandoned by their mama, and if they need a surrogate,dog milk would be more apt for the cubs than domestic cat milk

Beautiful story. Great fighting for all the animals cat and cubs. I can't believe the mom tiger basically abandoned her cubs. Poor Sasha cat losing her kittens. She had no problem loving and teaching the cubs. This definitely shows love has no bounds and not everyone meant to be a mom.

She is a lovely black cat. I wish her a long and wonderful life. Along with all the animals at the Zoo. Its unfortunate that the mother tiger gave up on the cubs. However at least the kittens got a real mother.

big cats don't purr. hard stop. they do snuffle (kind of like a horse), pant, and growl based on their mood, temperature, etc. - and also roar, unlike small cats. colloquially, in NA at least, 'tabby' refers to the specific coloration, despite 'tabby-ness' being a result of genes and scientifically not specifically relating to a particular easily visible fur/pattern, so referring to even a solid-colored cat as 'tabby' can be scientifically accurate. more studies have been done on house cats than big cats afaik, but cats do have long memories of significant members of their 'pride'; i raised my sister's cat every chance i got (until she was old enough to be fully responsible for him), and he didn't forget me even after i left for months or years at a time (3yrs sounds about right as the longest stretch) as he was fairly standoffish with anyone - especially new faces - who regularly wore hats and/or sunglasses but never with me, but that's just anecdotal. nice story, if true clearly 'enhanced' in various ways.

I hope the vet. Fixes the original mother cub so there arent any more unwanted cubs. And the pretty black cat too.

I would never have let them not see each other. That's crazy. They are right there and had no reason to separate them.

I will take them all. Tigers are my soft spots, and I too look foreard to be to be stripped again.. But, I dont' need a mother cat to adoped me, I just need to have my heart tamed, and to fulfill my lioneses soul.

The safest creature in that entire zoo is that Momma kitty. I pity the human who happens to make momma squeal. Especially if either of those two big kitties witness it.

Nice story, but it's full of holes. For starters, tigers don't purr. Cats that roar can't purr and cats that purr can't roar. Their vocal organs are designed differently. The only big cat that purrs is the puma, and of course, it doesn't roar. It does, however have have a blood-curdling scream, which it generally uses to attract a mate.
