Great video. I didn't realize you could cast diamonds in silver. I imagine it was shrinkage that caused the issue. Normally you pour more metal in the sprew then the metal at the top of the looks like it is recessed. That is shrinkage happening far above the part where it doesn't matter. If it is not full enough the metal will draw towards the hottest part or the nub that was on it. That is my best guess. I am just learning about sand casting myself. I watched a couple videos on adding feeders and reducing shrinkage. I hope that is helpful. Thank you again for the video

I like the accidental unevenness on the back - it might even be more comfortable for wearing, who knows :D Awesome vid - as usual!

Hi, did you ever work out what caused the ring band to not cast fully? This happens to mine often too and I would love to know why! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge! Belle

Thanks for this video Kirra-lea! I am curious, if I screw up on casting in place a large solitaire diamond, can I put the torch directly on the stone to melt the gold to remove the diamond and start again or would that ruin the diamond? Thanks for your thoughts.

Hi Kirra I see you use the No 7 tip instead of the rosebud tip. Is that a better option than the rosebud for melting? Thanks in advance! ❤

Could you use a emerald in place of the diamonds? Or would they be damaged by the heat
