I want to thank you so much for making these videos showing the wonderful gardens of Mackinaw Island. I have been an avid gardener for 65 + years but have never had the opportunity to travel in that area of our country. You take such care to explain each landscape and the details of it and the names of the different plants it is so helpful and informative. I look forward to each and every one of your videos. You are such an exceptional young man. 🌸🌺🌷🌼

You and your crew do amazing work!!! You make it look like it's so easy to take a piece of land and turn it into a masterpiece of beautiful gardens. It inspires me to get out in my yard and do more, but then I realize how much money it would take and doing it by myself wouldn't be possible. Haha. So I guess I have to stick to one or two big projects a season and maybe by time I am 50 years old my yard will be amazing. 😁🌼🌻 All my visitors think my yard is absolutely gorgeous, but I just keep dreaming of what I want it to look like. I am dying for a greenhouse and a pond or some sort of water feature. Thank you for showing us all the beautiful gardens.

And when you're 50 you'll start all over. I'm nearly 64 and loving retirement and confinement. My long-neglected gardens are starting to be restored. Today I worked on weeding and transplanting a favorite peony (Paula Faye) that couldn't produce a bloom for all the shade cast by surrounding volunteer trees. Thanks to my new "toy," a cordless reciprocating saw, I am taking back my gardens. I ran across some perennials I'd long forgotten about. I'm amazed they're still thriving under those conditions.

Your work is amazing hope someday I can come see in person. Thanks so much for the beautiful tours. 🌺🌿🌾😊
Thank you for the tours. I hope you will give us tours of the garden islands in the front of the Grand Hotel and also all the pots you planted this year. Laura from Garden Answers usually does this but this year she is not coming so we will miss it. I love seeing the designs you used there and get so many ideas for my own gardens.
These tours are great! Thanks for explaining the work processes as you move through the gardens. Also, kudos to your videographer and editor -- excellent work supporting your presentations.
I find myself drooling at every one of these cottage tours. You and your team have done an amazing job with every one. Such an amazing place to spend the summer. I hope the owners of these properties appreciate how lucky they are to be there. Can't wait to see more.
Just amazing work your crew does & all by hand. They don’t need to go to a gym as they get a physical workout at work
Congrats 🥳 I really have to mention how proud you sound when you talk about your team... You all make beautiful spaces
I love all the designs but most of all I LOVE the excitement you have and that just shows how much you love nature!!!
Exquisite! Love this video and your work.
You and your team totally deserve to be proud of your hard work!! It is absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing and I would love to see updates!
It’s a matter of financing. When I win lottery will be looking you up. Love your work.
Love the garden tours that you take us on! The landscape designs are natural and intriguing.Another great job! Thanks again.
Jack, you have a beautiful mind. Your knowledge and expertise combined with your artistic vision is evident in each and every project. Thank you for spending the time it takes to make these inspiring videos. Being able to watch them is a welcome respite from the current state of our treasured nation. Peace be with you.
I look forward to your cottage tours... I just love your style of gardening.. Thank you for sharing.
So nice, I watched it twice!
Awesome information 👏! Thanks for everything you do!
So amazing how you are able to incorporate old and new. So lovely!
So gorgeous and inspiring 🤩
Just beautiful!
Absolutely amazing!! You and your team are true artist and now I need you to do your magic in my yard. These homes are so beautiful! I just love them all!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Everything is gorgeous! I would think the inside of these cottages are as beautiful as your designs in landscaping!

Awesome design and finished art work🌿😊 I love the stone stack bridge and the rock wall ! My fav part of the landscape is at the teal cottage where the natural stone wall wraps around the beautiful flower filled landscape and Heritage River Birch🌿 Does the homeowner use the pond for irrigation?
Love it that you’ve made a follow up video withe these two cottages.❤️ was able to see a video of you with Laura when the Lilac cottage back garden was just barely new! Im amazed with how beautiful and serene your gardens have become in just a short time!❤️❤️❤️
😍Loved seeing how much the Caskey Cottage landscape has matured since the tour you did in August 2019 with Laura from Garden Answer. You and your team do amazing work! Thanks for sharing.

Sorry about that! Silly habit I guess~
Amazing beauty you’ve created! Can’t imagine the hard work...
I've enjoyed your videos for a couple of months now and find my curiousity is moving to landscape design. Is it possible during your tours to provide us with some initial planning basics so we can apply these to our home landscapes? Thank you.
Awesome tour
Beautiful! Love your tours great tips and beautiful design.
Exquisite!!
Beautiful....love looking at gardens that don’t have to contend with herds of deer. My husband loves them wandering around....9 am and there is a fawn in front of the big window. I do manage to garden with lots of Walkers Low catmint as my main planting. Your bridges are amazing!
Love it
Oh if I could build that stone bridge I'd be a very happy camper love it! Jack do you come to NJ?
My tall son and husband just got to meet Jack Barnwell on the island today. Wish I could have been there!
amazing
Ty!
Where to start, the beautiful rustic wood gate, stone bridges, all the beautiful stonework, Daisy Mae Shasta, hydrangeas and all the beautiful plantings!

I'm going to check out Daisy Mae. I hope she grows in zone 4b.
I had no idea you could plant birches so close to the house! I think I might do the same thing

Give em a good lean~ they look natural with a slight lean to em, and arch out before growing more vertically. They are so graceful and multi-seasonal too
❤🌿
Jack, what flowers can I plant that the bears that live near me will avoid?????
One question, with the pondless water features, do you have to pull the pumps for winter? Beautiful gardens, made my day and looking forward to the next one.
Wow amazing. I can’t help wonder, What do people that live here do for a living?
