Mr. Cash's video "Hurt" hit me right in the feels like nothing else ever has.

I think it's so fucking bad ass that after having all of the people Cash fed, housed, gave employment to, & etc for so many years in on and at the country music scene that they shunned him, turned their back on him, went with a youth movement and more or less wrote Cash off and cashed his check after taking from that man for decades & the. Rick Ruben & his Rapping & Hip Hopping Buddies from all different walks of life said hay Mr. Cash please come and ride on our bus with us and let's see where it is that we end up at! ESPecially CONsidering that Hip-Hop & Rap Would never have been mentioned within the realms of country music at that time!

Because cash did it out of the charity of his heart! He built Nashville it’s not like they also gave him millions of dollars and fame! He was homeless and in poverty!

Cash understood how universal music was and the record execs didn't care. That sums up the battle. Fortunately he didn't need them anymore
