We've had them on two bikes now, both with great results.

Thanks for the review someone finally specified it works well for heavier Riders this is the closest review I can find that is similar to the transition V2 Sentinel

I have an Norco Sight 2020 c se fitted with rs coil shock in the back, 55mm stroke. Works perfectly fine, not having any issues with bottoming out. And I also have the right spring rate. Similar setup as the norco racing team have.

That's great to hear! I was having trouble getting the small bump I wanted while still having good bottom out resistance. I really like the feel of the link. I have yet to put my coil on it, still waiting for a replacement!

hope this gets another video with the coil shock with a 55stroke. bump the travel to 165? will that work?

Has a little bit of everything! I run Tokul for a bit more tech, easy to make adjustments and repeat a trail pretty quickly!

Anyone know if the norco optic version would fit on the norco fluid fs1 since they don't make one for the fluid? If you overlay a diagram of the optic over a diagram of the fluid all the pivot points for the linkage line up which makes me think that it might fit

Curious if you have any tips for Sight/JadeX/Cascade setup. Curious about your weight, spring rate, bladder pressure, etc.

Im considering this to put a coil on the sight! But with this link what size stroke coil should I get, and I’m also considering this plus a progressive spring you think that would do it or maybe just the link with a regular spring or just the shock with progressive spring or both? And also the stroke size, thank you great video

How is the cable routing. Quiet? Any creaks coming from the frame?

I've been thinking of buying this for my norco sight. I enjoy going down steep chunk and occasionally wanna do some jumps. will this help to make it more poppy?

Are you 27.5 front and rear?

Are you still running your fork at 160mm with the linkage or did you change the air spring to 170mm?

Are you using the stock stroke length shock of 52.5mm or 55mm? Is there a pro vs con of going with the link vs longer shock? Seems that both result in ~5mm longer travel

I am using it in the standard 52.5mm stroke. The link really has a greater effect on the leverage curve more so than the addition of travel.

I've been eyeing the nomad link. Would be awesome if you found a guinea pig to test it out on and made a video on it.

@@TheLoamWolf I’m 208 pounds. Rockshox super deluxe on my sight. I normally run 252 psi and I have be gnar dog and two regular spacers. Do I have enough head room psi wise to even try this? Thanks.

Can you help me understand why the link is not designed this way from stock? The benefits are obvious so why would a major manufacturer not design it this way. Secondly, would a meg neg upgrade on a super deluxe not do a similar thing at a much cheaper price?

That’s an awesome question, while we can’t speak for the brands exact design choices we know that as a manufacturer you need to cater to the larger audience, it’s a balance for sure. That MegNeg should definitely help add some small bump with more pressure needed for bottom out resistance but it does not change the leverage curve which is very noticeable with this link. I have rode a few different shocks on this bike but have yet to try a MegNeg, definitely interested in what it could do though!

Because it isn't a no brainer, it's a compromise just like everything else in cycling. If you increase progressivity with the link you decrease pedal efficiency if the bike keeps the same spring weight but have better small bump...if you up the spring weight to get the pedal efficiency back and sit in the correct sag point you now have a bike that feels much firmer under larger hits and less plush but with better bottom out support. Also this 'midstroke support' seems all the rage right now like people think you can have your cake and eat it.. well with suspension no you can't, if you have firmer midstroke support then that's exactly what you get 'a firmer mid stroke' aka a harsher mid stroke and feel more impact on square edge hits... But you gain pedalling and pumping support, and the bike is less likely to blow through it's travel. The average rider loves progressivity and so does marketing...because most riders don't push their bike near their limits a very progressive setup feels very plush and slack at the start of travel giving that sofa like feel...however racers prefer a much firmer setup and bikes that ride high in their travel and will prefer a bike a bit less progressive to gain midstroke support, ride high in their travel and have that racey feel like Yeti's have.. whereas average Joe wants a couch like a Capra or Nomad...something squishy in the first 50% of travel, as the end of travel is rarely used so the increased harshness over large hits on very progressive bikes end up not been an issue as most never take the bike to that point.

@@dank6761 It's quite the opposite actually. More aggressive riders get along with more progressive set ups better because you can actually have traction while also not bottoming out left and right. I can guarantee you all the WC teams that are running custom linkages are not doing it to make the bike more linear. They are doing it so that they can maintain a reasonable amount of sag while running a spring rate much higher than what most people do. The whole idea is to up the spring rate without impacting sag because running low sag makes a bike track like hot garbage.

It's like....I love the vid. I have a 2020 Sight. Love the link. But for me it's like the whole video is in Njerep... To no fault of the content creator. I think I need ALOT more shock adjustment videos before I purchase one...🤯😫😭

@@TheLoamWolf Its an essentially extinct language with allegedly 4 people on earth who speak it....lol😅 But the thing is it's not that there's anything wrong with my rear shock, I'm a noob with FS (Aug.20) so it all feels good to me still. I'm about to upgrade to the Super Deluxe Ultimate. I'm more intrigued by the potential benefits of the link like +5mm. And I'm just looking to trick my bike out a bit 😎. Awesome bike BTW 😁😁😁

Another 2020 Norco Sight owner here and I also can't get the desired amount of progression from this suspension even with the maximum amount of volume spacers (a Gnar Dog plus 2 regular volume spacers) and 25% sag. However, I chose to try the MegNeg rather than the Cascade Link. MegNeg is much cheaper and according to other Sight owners it does improve mid stroke and end stroke support. I should get mine soon. I'm glad my Sight didn't come with Fox rear shock because then the only solution would be this expensive Cascade link
