hey luke, great video . are you going to review the norco range? I am not sure your sight enjoyed that huge drop at the beginning! i live here in canuck land so the way you pronounce deity it should have an "eh" sound as in: not too much rain in Australia, eh? anyways, great riding. gotta check out australia sometime.

I'm kind of late, since this video is half an year old already, but it's the first time I watch a video from your channel. Currently in a search for a long AM/Enduro 29er and the Sight is on the top of my list, since it has a similar host-link suspension I'm used to. I'm riding a Transition Patrol 2017 in size XL, but it is too small for me and some newer L frames have longer reach already. The Patrol has a 483mm reach and that was quite good when I got it. I'm 195cm with rather long legs and arms attached to my body and have the same problem with droppers. My current 175mm dropper is not really slammed all the way in and even a 210 won't be, lol. May I ask how tall are you? Could not find it in the comments, sorry if it is written somewhere. You seem to be a tall guy with a similar structure like me.

A good review here mate, thanks for that. I’m about to test this bike as well in a few days. I’m 5’10 and according to Norco I’m right in the middle of L. However, the reach is huge compared to my 2015 YT Capra (63mm longer) not to mention it’s a 29er. Do you think I should stick to L or I should ask the shop to provide me a M for a test as well?

Norco recommend the XL for anyone above 183cm. I know some people in the 185cm range that feel a bit inbetween sizes. You can play with your bar width to change your upper body position, center of gravity, and reach to the bars. I'm 193cm and this new Sight feels so much better than my old 2017 Sight- No comparison.

@@bradcomis1066 yea this new sight absolutely rips compared to the old one. Im currently on an XL specialized enduro 2018 and the L sight has the same geometry numbers roughly some even longer/slacker and felt about the same to ride. I was just kinda wondering what the XL rides like because the numbers suggest its a behemoth of a bike. I am aware of different cockpit setups to change how the bike feels aswell

@@bartoszkacki5064 My current saddle height is 805mm from the BB center to the top surface of my WTB Silverado saddle (measure to the point just above the seat post clamp). I dropped the post all the way and the saddle height was 770mm. Your results might vary a bit if you use a different saddle or a dropper with a shorter collar.

Go the A1. I've got the A2 with the fox float x2. I road it twice and the shock deflated. The shock went back to fox for an 'assessment' which was gonna take 2 weeks. 99Bikes Modbury South Australia were awesome and replaced the shock for me straight away, no help from fox. The new shock is good, but every time I ride it's in the back of my mind that it will fail and then I will get stuffed about by Fox.

Suspension performance trumps weight! You'll have to pedal a tiny bit harder on the way up but its all good. I'm on the alloy Sight and it generates so much grip climbing the the weight just disappears.
