Great to see you both again. I so enjoy your videos. No need to explain a thing to us. I appreciate you for who you both are, and all that I learn along the way from your skills. You're life is very endearing in its simplicity and homesteading. I can see now in my future where lots of the skills I see you use will be useful since I recently bought a old house and decent sized property.

Hey guys, I always watch your videos, and I don't always comment, but I think what y'all are doing is great, sometimes you have to do what is best for you, glad y'all are still at it, anyway keep doing what you do, I found your channel because I am a Ford tractor nut, and saw your video with standing it up pulling logs, and I was like hell yeah!! Any watched all your previous videos after that, I wish you two all the best in '22

I've always regarded "Carving A Path" as an interesting and appropriate title for your channel. It clearly implies the powerful self-determination and mutual affirmation of which people are capable and which your videos clearly portray. Well said. Well done. Be well. All the best in the new year. Thanks!!

I am or I should say was and very experienced Backpacker and a cross country Walker with nothing but a compass and a map but I would never have attempted a climb like that at night kudos to y'all. If you do decide to take the Appalachian Trail maybe you might want to film it because that would be a lot of footage for your Channel. I found your channel in carving and I think that's what your channel is going to be although I haven't looked at the rest so I will find out. Y'all should have took a couple of blankets or sleeping bags and camped out that night that's wonderful to wake up to her beautiful sunrise especially on the East Coast yes I realized where you were even before you said about the Buffalo Trail. Anyway I'm going to go I kind of enjoyed this and I'm going to watch the rest of them and we'll see how it goes I will comment even if I just say awesome. You two seem like an excellent couple and I'm looking forward to following you. Stay vigilant!

The reason I started watching your channel was because of the name. I spent most of my adult life working with severely traumatized people and one of the analogies I would use is carving a path and learning to stay in the moment by putting one foot in front of the other. The importance of being physical and connecting with the planet cannot be understated in dealing with trauma. We tend to spend too much time in our heads trying to deal with stuff and we need to engage our whole bodies. These are very simple statements in dealing with complicated issues but I want to encourage you to trust your instincts, just like where to cross the river, your path may work a lot better for you than someone else's. Thanks for sharing and good luck.

Yeah, Im following y'all. I admire your grit, Also your style, honesty, teamwork, skill in all crafts Ive seen. And I havent sent my "take" on sharpening blades in general. I think it clears up the ambiguosity of whats happening on the microscopic scale. Love you-all, and what you do, how you do it , why you do it (tho only you both know the back story). Me and my wife hitched across the USA in 1974, so can relate to keeping integrety in the face of difficulty and tamptation, and coming out on top. Such times show yourself who you are and what you are made of.

Hi guys , Happy New Year . So good to see yall again I miss seeing yall . I look every day hoping to see a new video . Let me say this if I may , I went through some horrific time and I had a hard time dealing with it both mentally and physically. I have a saying , if you look at the past you can't see the future . I don't feel like I have to tell anybody about my past or make apologies, and don't thank you have either . Life is very short , enjoy every day you have and always thank the good Lord for it . I enjoy yalls videos very very much , and don't change a thing . It's your life and nobody else's. Well thank you and enjoy life and be happy , again it's good to see yall . Be safe and keep making things and writing them wonderful songs .

good morning guys i enjoyed this video because i sure can relate to the part of thinking you got friend till you are down and that is where you relay find who your true friend are he will stick by you the others walk away till your up again but by then you already discover there true nature and as a good human you will accept them back in your live but deep down in your hearth you know what they are As far as the Appalachian trail goes a little suggestion if you do the trail in the spring time it would be better to go from south to north this way you can take advantage of what nature can offer you to eat on the trail { like strawberries raspberry and other eatable along the trail } now if you take the trip later like early summer it would be better to do from north to south so you can stay ahead of the cold weather I hear that the Appalachian trail can take up to 6 months to do from the farthest point north to the farthest point south so good luck with it and if you do do it enjoy yourself while doing it

I started following you because I saw the small sailboat videos. I love those! And your wood carving is inspiring and a great wealth of knowledge. I also love wood. Learning a lot from you. You are a gifted artist. Suggestion: Keeping the ambient sound (no music) to your videos would give the viewer as sense of what you are experiencing...hearing and even imagining the smell of the trees and earth and peaceful sounds of the water. I know the Buffalo River in Arkansas and was thrilled to see it in your video. Beautiful memories. Thank you. Shalom

Have you ever thought of bike packing? All you need is a used bike, like a mountain bike, a 2 person tent, sleeping bags, light weight cook set and you are on your way. I just put my kit together for some adventures. Things do not need to be expensive. Used equipment is great. Traveling on rail trails is awesome as they are pretty much flat and there is no traffic. I live off grid on my homestead & also have a small trailerable sailboat. I like the freedom this lifestyle afords me. Simple, uncomplicated and peaceful. It's hard work & I keep very busy with projects on the farm. Still, I would not change a thing. I hope you are able to pursue your dream. Cheers, S/V Cork ~ Texas. ♡
