Sure is something extra hot about a woman running a tractor! My wife isn't physically capable of the heavy work, that's my job but she can run the bush hog and front end loader! I like rock climbing and mountain biking but i'm also 58 years old and have a job that requires me to be fit for duty so I'm REAL careful, I like my wheels on the ground! Love your stuff! What a team, what a woman!

Of course she can! The love of my life who I lost weighed 150 lbs, I'm a logger, she cut up on the landing for me with a husky 394 and ran my Barko 160 yard crane. She was the hardest worker I ever met. Girls are tough...and smart...you just have to want to do it.

It is wonderful to see two people work together for a common goal. Truly equally yoked which makes things come together as they should. Make sure to appreciate and respect this and each other because without the two working as one the journey becomes more difficult. I once had the same gift but I neglected my responsibility to my soul mate and lost all peace and happiness. Keep sharing and inspiring others.

Women are way more capable than a lot of men want to admit. One of my Xs use to move the wood I was cutting in a wheelbarrow from way back in the woods. That's hard work even for a grown man and she never once complained. Having a good partner is the biggest blessing a person can have imo. You two seem like a really great team. I just found your videos and they are great. They bring back a lot of fond memories.

“Can’t never did, won’t never will.” Wise words from an old timer that never finished traditional schooling. Really left an impression on me when he said it. Excellent message, in my own marriage and raising a family we focus on taking the phrase "I can't" and changing it to "I haven't". This opens the door for a learning opportunity and a type of growth into self reliance....."I can't do that." turns into "I haven't done that.". Either way, great message, great video. As a side note, some slow motion shots of that glorious beard flowing while going over some sweet jumps would be amazing!

She's an incredible woman... reminds me of my wife. Loves the outdoors and isn't afraid of work. I've been cutting trees a long time and by george I have never seen the stick guide thing done...I learned something...and I was an ISA certified arborist for about 15 years! I felt those injured ribs from here just from memories of having injured mine several times. The last time I tried breaking a small log into and it snapped back and CRACK! No good. Bad pain.

I'm new to your channel and have only watched 3 or 4 of your videos (so far). I have to admit that I thought you were older than you probably are, mostly because of your beard. (I thought your lady was much younger than you). However, seeing you on your bike and making that jump I now realize you are younger than I had mistakenly thought. I said all of that to say this, I respect you and your partner (wife?) for taking the initiative and making your own piece of paradise where you are. I do have one suggestion, as taught to me early on by my wife of 48 years. When referring to your significant other, don't use "she", use her name. It shows respect and validates her significance to the partnership. I hope your ribs heal and major kudos to her (I wish I had a name to put here) for taking up the slack when it was most needed. Great videos and thanks for taking time to make and post them.

Something may be loose on the Right front wheel of the tractor, Wheel bearing, king pin, or tie rod end. saw the wheel move at 4:30-4:32. I always teach my kids. that the word "Impossible" actually wants you to figure the problem out if you break it down. " I- M- Possible" :) Great job on the wood cutting. Hope your ribs heal fast. I'm not an expert, but have had to cut quite a bit of firewood growing up. One thing I noticed is small logs tend to buck and roll. I learned to put a foot on or against the log, on the opposite side of the motor and on the long side of the log, to prevent dangerous movement. You can also elevate the log on a round or rock, if you don't have a nice hillside like that. Also, especially with thicker logs, cutting halfway or more, then rolling the log over allows room to cut the rest of the way with less chance of hitting dirt. Cutting the second cut at a slight angle prevents the blade from hitting air and dropping quickly...though isn't as pretty as flat cut wood. I concur with the helmet comment and would suggest better eye protection. Even ignoring the actual dangers, just having bits of sawdust and dirt getting in your eyes will slow down progress and could make things more dangerous if your eyes are watering and you can't see your work well. Also, while no traditional people wore saw chaps and many modern people don't either, they can save you an ER visit. If you want to make them fit your video style, and maybe make a video for others, you can always cover the ugly orange ones with canvas or leather, though the orange is there to keep other fallers and equipment operators from hitting you. Finally, maybe it's just me, but I hate getting sawdust in my shirt and especially my boots. Many would agree with a tighter fitting collar, for esthetic reasons, but when not shooting video.... Also, high topped boots with cuffs down keeps most sawdust out (especially if the tongue is attached up the sides sufficiently).

Damn. I HATE me some busted ribs. It hurts like the devil just to think about coughing -- which makes you need to cough. 🙄 Hope everything is all good by now. Sadly, arthritis will visit later, I can attest. My wife and I have been married for 52 years. For half of that time, we had two wonderful sons and not much else. One of the things I learned about my wife early on is that she will do whatever needs to be done to support the family. She is a small woman with a big heart. She is loving, caring, generous, and tough as hickory. She will cry, but she will not quit. Ever. She is truer and tougher than most of the "tough" guys I have met in my life. And, thanks entirely to her, I became a better, stronger man when I stopped trying to be one of those 'tough' guys. Took some time, but I'm working on it... I am more thankful for my partner than I can express, and it is obvious that you feel the same. In this, you are a truly wealthy man. Your partner is as tough and true as the oak trees she has felled. Thanks for showing us how fell oak trees properly. Well done! All the best to both of you.
