@@darkiee69 Carrie could if she wanted to, Carrie could drown out Joan. The thing is Carrie has too much respect for Joan. Carrie got Joan's respect by this performance. Carrie did that by keeping with Joan. Joan kept jumping all over the place and Carrie stayed with Joan.

Joan Jett sounds amazing and her guitar skills still are impeccable. Carrie could sing the phone book and make it sound good. I hope people realize and appreciate that she is a generational talent.

I love Joan. She always gives a "big show" whether she's playing a county faire or Madison Square Garden. But her guitar skills are mediocre at best. It's just power chord punk rock. You're acting like Joan can outplay Nancy Wilson of Heart. LOL

Joan just has a Rock n Roll Voice. Some people have a "beautiful" voice, yet they can't make you feel anything Joan Jett makes you want to drive 100 mph and scream out the window , singing the wrong words to a song but feeling like you are on top of the world

Joan Jett and the Runaways.......showing how much of a broad influence has been made on female performers across so many spectrums. Well done Carrie and Joan, well done indeed.

@@gilbertgranby9339 I know about the Runaways. They were a garage-band at best. Their only claim to fame is being all-girl band --- put together by a guy, of course. The true first female rocker was Suzy Quattro. That's who inspired Joan in the first place.

That is the unique part of Carrie's talent, she can do any musical genre out there. Carrie's heart is country but can adjust to any music with ease. Carrie has the drawl and easily use it or drop it in a blink.

I was at this show (CMA Fest) and i was literally crying tears of happiness when Joan Jett came on stage. Joan Jett is personally my favorite rocker of all time. I love her!!!

I still remember that summer evening, June 17 1978, at a small park in Sweden when I saw The Runaways. I climb the fence on the back of the small stage and leaned my head into the open windows into the lodge where the girls were preparing for the show. There was Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Sandy West and Vicki Blue. Joan climbed up from the sofa and walked up to the window, put her hand on my cheek and said: - Sorry boy! (I was 15 at the time) and gently pushed me out and closed the window. A memory for life!

I've loved JJ since the early 80's when I first saw her perform at the Harley Rendezvous in NY. She's an incredibly talented bad ass! Fantastic collaboration! Made my night to see this!

That was totally awesome! Love Carrie so much she sings like an Angel. But adding Joan Jett up there they rocked wonderfully together. My Dad passed when I was 13, but he loved Joan Jett, so this was an amazing memory treat for me. Thank you Carries for collabing with her!

Amazing..at a country show..

These really young female singers today need to take note of the great 70's true rocker females. Joan Jett, Heart, Pat Benatar. They still rock today & sound great. Joan Jett 64 years old, Pat Benatar 69 years old, Ann Wilson (Heart) 72 years old. They still can put on a show & they have never used that stupid auto tune. Carrie is a chameleon who seems to blend in to many different genres of music

I love how Carrie didn't take the limelight. She understood that it was Joan's moment to shine and be in the spotlight. Carrie definitely added to the moment but didn't take over. Her focus was on Joan.

39 years ago, my dad bought me my very first record. I was only 5. He bought me Joan’s “I Love Rock N Roll”. She was my very first idol. She paved the way for a lot of women and women artist. I thought she was the coolest woman ever. I still do. She is 64 years old. Still looks amazing, in great shape, riffs are on point and her vocals are out of this world.

Carrie has held her own performing with all these music icons Steven tyler,Joan jett,Lindsey Buckingham & she comes out smelling like success !kudos to Carrie she's definitely A.I. royalty!

Joan Jett has been one of my favorites since I was 7 years old. This woman has it all. I used to want to be just like her. I told my mom I wanted to take guitar lessons and she said yes. What she didn't know is that I had this plan to have my own rock band and be the front singer in awesome clothes that plays the guitar 🎸. Joan Jett is a timeless gem. This is real music 🎶 kids.

OMG. I got chills when Joan came out on stage. It brought me back to a little club in Ct. that Joan played back in 1988. I was in the front row and she played a new song as she said that will be on the next albulm. "This is Fetish" the lyrics were quite shocking at the time. It was 1988.lol. Anyway it was the most memorable show I've ever been to probably because she started drinking water out of a bottle and spitting all over the crowed. That shirt never got washed..sadly i think but have no proof my wife years latter through it out.
