This is "Your Wonderful Parade" and since Karen is playing the drums in the song, the video is of her playing the drums.

I love these early Richard/John compositions! Such happy times for them, and us - sometimes I wish I'd been 25 instead of 5 to really know them as an adult . If I win the lottery I'm going to refurbish a mall to 60's & 70's style with all the old sineage, and piped in music would be Carpenters, with Carpenters murals everywhere along with other really good music. Angel Karen must be thrilled that her legacy is so appreciated by all of us here on earth. Thanks for this!

I grew up with their more familiar songs, but their early work is very interesting. Sort of more multifaceted than their more famous ballads.

LHB, I cannot thank you enough for touching the heartful memories of a few of us that recall and sing with those memories that shaped us back then. I remember learning every Richard vocal to sing with my "older" sister. Judy, I appreciate your caring memories that parallel mine. You are super.

It was clever that they opened this song with a drum roll and closed it with drumming that could be used as a street beat, illustrative of a band in a parade.
