I forgot! Karen played bass on this song and "Eve".Wow! What Couldn't she do? I would of loved to see her play bass on this or "Eve" on film.I could listen to this song all day.I have it on a loop right now and have listened to it at least 10 times.I don't think I could do that with any other singer.Never get tired of The Carpenters! Bless Richard and Karen for all of their hard work and all the music and memories they have given us and left us with.

I get the impression that this song is not high on the popularity list of Carpenter songs but I sure love it. Thank you so very much for this video. You are now in MY KZread Hall of Fame. Robert was the first inductee.

I absolutely love the deep resonance of Karen's early voice. Somewhere around Horizon & forward, she slipped into a more "whisperier"/higher octave. Some attribute this to anorexia, but I think it was a conscious choice, based on what I've read on Richard's comments. She was friends with Olivia Newton John, and was trying to emulate her style, I believe

Karen played bass on this gem ("All of My Life") and "Eve." Karen was amazing. I always think it odd that they wrenched the studio playing from her and gave to Hal Blaine. She still played drums on the live concerts impeccably! Couldn't tell the difference ??

I LOVE this song but I wonder why everytime I play and sing along with this song, the people around me say that this is too corny...Hmmmm...
