Appice bros are legendary! Vinny joined behemoth Black Sabbath in the middle of the Heaven and Hell tour at the age of 22-23. That's MIND BLOWING!!

That is a great story. I have wondered, not for years, but decades why the different pronunciation. And the way they used as promo material is so brilliant. I love this. Thanks for posting.

Sure but most Americans anglicize the pronunciation of their names.

I've been saying it that way for years. It just sounds better than "A piece" or "App Ah See"

I have one of Carmine's videos to learn how to play the drums - the one thing I can't do. I loved it. It was for kids, but that's what I needed, a great starting point.

I worked at a red roof inn back when he was in Blue murder and they stayed there one night. When they checked in Carmine wanted someone to take his bags to his room and bring him dinner. The maintenance guy happened to be there and told him "you're at a red roof inn. You must not be as popular as you think you are." I could barely keep from laughing as I finished checking them in

Hearing their brother chime in, I would say "Ap-Pi-Che" is probably the most correct way of saying their name, but "The Biz" has a funny way of simplifying things it can't comprehend.

True, but generally speaking a lot of “difficult” surnames, including Italian names, are Anglicized. Most Italian Americans (who have Italian surnames) pronounce their surnames differently than their ancestors did .

How did Ronnie say it? Being an Italian American himself he probably had a particular way he liked to say it that he felt was more “authentic”.

Vinnie pronounces it wrong because he has more Moors ancestry than Carmine, and most of "them" are stupid. Kidding y'all.
