Vinnie is a great talent. No doubt about it. That's the reason why Gene and Paul wrote songs with him after he left/kicked out/fired from Kiss. He has the talent. Otherwise, he is a very strange person. Just really strange. Business wise....well his history speaks for itself. Top notch talent with a ton of baggage is what Vinnie is.

But honestly I didn't care much for the Blue Murder or King Kobra material. It just sounded like a thousand other bands of the era. I've worked in live music venues for over 35 years. One of the first shows I worked was a drum clinic with Sandy Generro (Pat Travers), Michael Derosier (Heart), can't remember the 3rd, and Carmine Appice. The first three guys were great guys, Carmine was the maybe having a bad day, but I never met anybody, in 35 years, who went so far out of their way to degrade everyone around him. He yelled at our staff and their road crew, the whole day. It did give us all something to talk about and remember. After that, any time we had a difficult day, we'd joke about Camine and his leopard leggings - what an asshole.

from what i have seen on the Kiss Kruise and Atlanta , i don't think VV has his chops up. I think dropping out is too much for this kind of player . He played guitar like guitar was an adreniline high, and it is all encompassing, i think he is beyond it and calmed down . i don't like saying that, but VV recorded some of the sickest guitar jams ever on Guitarmageddon, a ledgend . He was driven to create and it nearly destroyed him . i listen to his work in awe, because as far out in reckless abandon some of it is he had the focus to produce, and edit himself as the sickest metal guitar player ever, and it is even more amazing he could calmly slow down and explain the mechanics of what made him tick

Questionable things have been done by Mr. Vincent in the past, such as tricking a 19 yo Goran Edman into coming to the States… only to keep him locked up in studio, for an album “Pyro messiah” which never ended being released. And also I never understood why Vinnie hates Dana Strum & Mark Slaughter the way he does.

@Donnie (guitar tech) I hear you- Carmine 's pedigree as a hard rock/heavy metal drummer who's been around isn't surpassed by many; he got kicked out of Ozzy's band because Sharon wanted a cut of the side projects he was doing (things he had built up before his tenure with Ozzy) and he was "too big" for a simple "drummer" by her rationale. Her exact words to him were "you need your own band"..She didn't like band members having tooooo much celebrity status. His impact on the genre will probably never be fully appreciated because he never had a long tenure in any larger than life band. As for VV he turned a brief tenure in KISS into a shit show-he could have probably rode that out for the rest of his life, not getting mega-rich maybe but living comfortably off it with a little effort. Instead he screwed a lot of people with cancelled gigs, signed guitars that were never shipped and a bunch of other stuff.

He loves to hear his own voice. "I replaced Tommy Aldridge in Ozzy's band because he had bad timing." -Carmine Appice. I always considered Bullet Boys a sub-par band like thousands of many others back in the day. Bands orchestrated by labels & producers not musicians. Who wants to listen a Van Halen wannabe? They had Ted Templeman but not an Eddie..Sweda it's a decent guitarist & Torien it's an screaming cat compared with the mighty Roth. That's the reason why they didn't succeed their first (and successful debut). "Freakshow" had a lot of potential but ruined by a TOO all over the top vocals IMHO.
