Correa's best years were his first 3 years 2015, 2016 & 2017 all with the Astros (and also the Confirmed Astros cheating years... keep that in mind) even in those first 3 years he put up Nice numbers not Superstar numbers. More Importantly in his last 5 years his numbers are Mediocre at best. He has made only 1 All Star team in the last 5 years and his numbers for the last 5 years are as follows: 59 Runs Scored 20 Doubles 17 HRs 61 RBIs .270 BAvg .347 OB% Now please tell me how those averages over the last 5 years are numbers of a Superstar worthy of 12 years and $315 Million (the Mets deal)

When will Boras take his fangs out of MLB? Hasn’t he gaslighted teams and fans enough for decades? A 5-7 year deal is plenty given his steel plate leg. Short term contract but 12 years? Crazy. Correa must have REAL problems. 50/50 Cohen still throws a fortune at the guy. Probably have to reset the steel plate and his leg and cost him a year. Maybe the ankle holds out for a season or two before they get a good surgeon and fix the damn thing and a season lost. Boras is Mr Bad will. If this gets much worse, Boras should be banned. literally everything reported is a contradiction. boras and correa willing to go to other teams if mets deal falls apart, said team will prob offer him less years and money than the mets. which im sure boras would reject. so then y leave the mets situation in the 1st place. if theyre just gonna take less and add things like options from another team? if that is the case y wouldnt they just negotiate a lesser deal in either $$$ of years with mets if thats the likely plan with another team? if im cohen i say well still give the 12 for 315 with a team option at year 5 or 6. take it or leave it cuz no other team is gonna give him that kind of money considering 2 teams have already had issues with his physical. literal common sense. if boras and correa leave 315 n 12 on the table cuz they dont want to add an option then so be it let him go get 5 for like 150 or something silly like that from the twins or whoever. mets are literally his best bet at getting 300 mil plus. point blank period. if theyre gonna add terms to the deal or take less $$$ or years than it will be with the mets. literally no sense to do the latter with any other team esp since correa has made it pretty clear that he prefers the mets and lindor. bottom line is boras as good as he is has no leverage. good luck getting 300 mil elsewhere. just sack up get ur client paid put in the team option and pray he stays healthy.

These multi year contracts are a joke , they always end up being a noose around the neck of younger players that deserve a time in the majors. There ARE young players that show up every year proving that they belong. Drafting better is what separates the winning teams year after year. Yankees are a good example. Spending loads of money to get a championship hasn’t worked for them. Haven’t been in the World Series for years. Same thing for their cross town team, the Mets.

No matter what happens, Correa will always have a top paid job on some MLB club. He came from hard times Puerto Rico back in the day. So whatever happens he can laugh it all the way to the bank. Carlos is in the best of hands and despite that rebuilt ankle, he is going to get top dollar. My message to Correa is please don't fall apart at the seams in NYC like so many Carlos s have done in the past. I'm talking about Carlos Delgado and Carlos Beltran. I awarded them the Mets Disappointment Awards for their less than mediocre performances back in the day. Beltran even jumped ship to resolve an old injury issue. Delgado thought himself to be the "excuse maker" on TV every time that the mediocre Mets lost a game. (More often than not). It was boreball at its worst. Basically both Delgado and Beltran came to the Mets to rob a salary with less-than-tepid ice cold performances. (Especially Delgado).

You forgot Jason Bay, 68 million dollars they gave that guy and he did absolutely nothing good for the Mets. Delgado and Beltran had some good moments with the Mets.

Providing any of these rumors are true, sounds like the beginning of a very healthy relationship with the Mets when you or your agent is being so combative. Hopefully that's not true. I still want Correa to succeed, hell he already has. He's a complete baseball player.

He should only get paid $3.50 an hour . The same wage that tomato pickers get in the migrant farm operation business, because this is going to be the best offer and employment he will ever receive . He needs to go to Japan and finish over there with Yasiel Puig if he wants to be a ball player, but making a fortune, not going to happen, buddy

Correa probably should have committed to the Twins long term think they got greedy and tried to hide this injury.. he should have committed to the twins long term & did the 10 at 285 & I bet none of this is even going on now. I dont think he gets a 10 year deal from anyone now I think he ends up on a 8 year around 250 million otherwise if he gets a 10 no one is committing without some extra injury language in that contract
