It's actually the most accurate answer because celtics play around and don't have killer instinct and they were saved by Browns Performance during the playoffs, otherwise they'd have lost again 🤣🤣 Also people seem to have forgotten the celtics weren't challenged seriously by anyone and afforded to goof off shooting 3's 90% of the games, in a real basketball game they'd be shredded by lockdown defense like what the knicks bring.

76ers are known for underperforming in the playoffs. Add pandemic P and it's a recipe for disappointment.

Mikal bridges was averaging 26 points in a single season as a role player lol now he is getting 20 a game and he has shown he can get 30 or even 40 a game as a role player he is definitely the Knicks 3rd scoring option then you have og Randel then Brunson

I disagree with this whole big 3 dialogue around the sixers. They have a strong starting 5. Kelly oubre is no scrub and gave the Knicks trouble in the post season. He was a good scorer. Caleb martin elevates in the playoffs, gives the Celtics issues and shoots over 40% in the post season. Drummond really helps with rebounding, and keeping Joel healthy. PG and Drummond should resolve the non Embiid minutes constant breakdowns. It’s a typical story for the sixers to be up and doing well in a game. Have Joel sit down and fall behind 15 pts in that time. They need to sure up their bench a bit still or need McCain, council or Bona to play a legit role off the bench this year. I think they have a solid starting 5 (better and taller then the Knicks) and decent bench. I still think the biggest issue for the sixers is rebounding - bc Knicks don’t necessarily win off sheer talent half of it is offensive rebounding. I would consider the sixers starting 5 similar if not better then the nuggets starting 5. ESPN needs to stop discussing them as a big 3. PG is similar to what holiday was to the Celtics for them.

Idk if they will or not as winning one is hard enough let alone 2 in a row, but statistically the celtics last year were the most dominant team since the KD warriors and have been in 2/3 finals and came one win away from making 3 straight finals appearances that's easily the most consistent stretch of playoff success any team has had of recent Champs so idk if I would say they for sure won't.

Knicks, Sixers, Pacers, Bucks will be in play. Anything can happen.

The Knicks were the 2nd best team in the East LAST YEAR despite Randle, OG and Mitch missing most of the season and Bojan not getting on the team until the last 2 months of the season. Not only are they getting Randle back (most disrespected player to average 25-9-4), but they swapped Bojan with Mikal who will undoubtedly play better for the Knicks than he did on the nets (just like Donte and Hart). I believed they were good enough to at least be competitive w the Celtics if they were healthy last year. The Sixers have no depth. Paul George is not the player he once was, and asking both him and Embiid to stay healthy is a lot when they are both over 30 and already injury prone. I would say they are neck and neck with the Bucks, who’ve had a year to learn each others play style already and will most likely have a better season.

That’s such a silly thing to say. A big 3 hasn’t worked when immediately coming together since Lebron. Maxey and Embiid have been playing together for 4 years now, they’ve just added a perimeter wing who can shoot 3s and defend at a high level, in what way would they need any time at all to integrate that?? 76ers beat the Knicks so comfortably next playoffs it’s not even a question. Knicks just lost Hartenstein who was incredible last year and they have no replacement for him, and Mitchell Robinson can’t stay on the court - and even when he does he sucks. They’ve added some perimeter guys sure, but there’s only one ball and there’s 2 sides of the court. Sure everyone can shoot, and bridges is a great player. But nobody on that team can fathom guarding Embiid, Maxey will still torch them, and you have Paul George on the perimeter who shot over 45% on catch and shoot 3s last season. Are you suggesting that because neither team has make it that far in a long time they'll never make it again? Both teams, if healthy, are without question top 4 in the East.

Mikal and OG will absolutely contain Maxey and PG… embiids knee will stop him lol…

The Knicks will be extremely small across their starting 5 especially if Randell is starting

Brunson - 6'2", Bridges - 6'6"-7" OG - 6'7"-8" Randle - 6'9" Robinson - 7' D. White 6'4" J. Holiday 6'4" J. Brown 6'6" Tatum 6'9" Porzingis 7'2" I would say they match well especially with Josh Hart and DiVicenzo 6'4" coming off the bench.

The Knicks know a team compromised of friends who have proven to win together can gel and win immediately. That said, the Celtics are still much better and they are even due for a positive injury luck season next year. The Sixers are gonna need a lot from Maxey, who may be taking a backseat role to PG

Maxey isn’t backseating anyone lmao. He’s the Franchise. Coming off nearly 30 PPG in the playoffs too. Pg can hit his open shots and play defense.

Sixers are all hype. Embiid is never healthy and way off P is often hurt and his play is inconsistent.

Boston remains the biggest threat to themselves to repeat next season.

I disagreed with this take. At the end of the season. BOS faced a NYK team with OG for the first time, and you could see the difference it had on BOS wing players who couldn't get into the paint as easily. NYK blew out BOS. Now add Bridges, Randle and Mitchell Robinson and NYK are deeper and more formidable. NYK (if healthy) is the biggest threat to BOS in 2024-25.
