I'm glad that our video assisted you in preparing to insulate your trailer. I'm now working on the bed and can assure you that the insulation we installed really made a difference in holding in the heat as it is getting cold here in VA. Please feel free to share our video with others as we are attempting to increase our subscriber base.

Nice video. I've got a 7x16 I've had for years that I want to do some upgrades to. Basically I'm going to insulate it and put in a ceiling, paint the walls, and put a few cabinets in. I'll probably hard wire in lighting and a Maxxair fan too and add a couple more windows. I put a small screened sliding window on each side 14 years ago when I bought it. I'll be checking out your videos! Thanks!

Pl premium little over kill. Could probably could of used Elmer's glue and it would be good until you put some ply. For sure works and looks awesome. I for sure got some information much appreciated.

Just curious why u would glue the side insulation foam?

  • @beetharvestman

Only a small piece of foam was glued on the sides most was cut to fit between the ribs and is held in place by the ribs. Had to cut in half a one inch piece to fit where I placed wood for the lights. Hopefully that makes sense.

I am in the planning stages, myself, and was wondering about a viper barrier. Is it needed?

Great question, if your using Styrofoam as I did then a vapier barrier isn't really needed especially if you use the Styrofoam that has the foil on one side. Place the foil facing the skin of the trailer. The Styrofoam portion will be facing inside your trailer.

Also don’t u insulate the floor? Most of the cold gets through there.

Great question, I plan on insulating the floor prior to heading to the Best Harvest. The only reason I haven't attempted to complete the floor is due to finances. I plan on insulating the floor this summer. Please feel free to share our videos with others and if you already have not done so we hope you will subscribe to our channel as we are attempting to build our subscriber base. All the best

If your outside skin is aluminum. It was not a good idea to put the steel blocks in for awning . The reaction between the two metals will ear threw the aluminum.

We thank you for your input, the steel blocks don''t touch the aluminum. In the video you will notice that we glued wood to the upper portion where the awning is attached and that the metal blocks are attached to the wood so that they wouldn't touch the aluminum siding. Thanks for your comment if you haven't already we hope you will subscribe to our KZread channel.
