He is a wizard for sure. Just magic.
I think the Real word is Artistry! To have a realtime vision then be able to share the total with someone else is Real Humility! It's being Blessed and Fortunate!
True craftsmanship for sure! Very well thought out and done!
Can’t wait to see this car finished.
Great video. That’s quite a car. Would have liked to see the Gia as well.
Sweet great share, what a craftsman. Look forward to the build.
Wow!!!!! What a great 1930’s look. Its the beetle Volkswagen should have built. That car is a prize from a very skilled craftsmen.
Amazing work! Wow, does he have one for himself? Man, incredible!
Dave has quite the eye, metalwork is only a part of the process but the all-important sense of style and proportion is the rest. And what a nice guy too.
The only actually beautiful VW Beetle I've ever seen!
Thats what i wont to do. Theres nothing like a one of a kind. How proud he is. And he should be. Way to go. My friand.
It's amazing all across the usa there are guys in sheds, shops, alleys and garages that build unbelievable cars, bikes and so on. Now with you tube we all get to see some of them. Very cool car a gem that you let the world see.
REALLY enjoyed this episode...as a 40 yr. body guy, I can appreciate the work that went into that car. Used to be into V-Dubs, and it would be fun to try something like that if I lived out west....but I'm in Michigan, where there aren't any because of rust. You are one lucky dude to snag that 3 window, and be able to put time behind the wheel... Thanx for posting it!
Pure SKILL and VISION. THE METAL WORK IS GREAT. LOVE TO SEE FINISHED....😎👍🇺🇸🇺🇲
Very cool Randy...,really looking forward to following this one!
My first thought was.. it's a hand crafted Willys! Great job! Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful ride. Can’t wait to see it completed.
I hope to see the completed project. I really like the body changes.
Well said! Putting the frame on the art! I love it.
I enjoy fabrication, imagination and the raw form. You're a lucky guy and you're correct for giving credit where credit is due.
WOW WOW WOW! the vision, the patience and the hands to do it. Amazing and inspiring re-crafting and re-orienting of classic VW metal. An awesome final shape. So cool.

Hey Rocky! Good to hear from you!
Good stuff!
thanks for sharing ! im a bug guy since 79 and i remember that roadster and its fun to find out many years later the story of it and more... that guy is a genius in my eye and its great he would rather do it just for himself as a hobby.. a true artist !!
Am I the only person that sees a 40 Willy’s when looking at this cool bit of craftsmanship? I’m not a VW person but this design deserves a V8 in the front end 😎

Some of the Best Craftsmen,.. are just a Guy, in his garage, .. Drinks his cup'a Folgers quaffee,.. gets a awesome idea for a car,.. and hammers it out.. Awesome !
I remember the Roadster from years ago. Nice to see Dave's still at it!
Subtle magic from a little of this, a little of that. The profile flows so nicely, And it makes me think of a classic Ford '35-'36 3-window coupe.
Whoa yeah, that's a beautiful design this bro visonized!!
Wow! Really creative build and builder. Thanks for profiling them.
This is why "VDUBS" are the Greatest Cars on the planet. Thanks Randy. Cant wait to see more.!!👍👍👍

Lovely story, an amazing combination of improvisation & craftsmanship, keep 'em coming !!!!
This guy gave me tons of ideas.
I made similar tail lights for my sons little beetle go kart...I love making little pieces like that! So satisfying
Loved it..that guy has skills too..can't wait to see what you do with it as well..keep it up...
I totally understand him not choosing that as a profession.
A very cool car! Looks like a 40s business coupe! He really has a good eye and talent for putting things together to achieve the result in his mind. Some great ideas to create the other parts he needs. I like that Karman Ghia also!
Now Randy that is KOOOOL! cant wait to see what you do with. Cheer's Tassie John

Bad Chad Hold my PEPSI
Just a question, why doesnt he finish these cars to a completed state? seems strange that he would go to all that effort then sell them when he was getting close to having a finished vehicle to enjoy.
I like that with a v8
Is there a video of this car after you finished it?

Really an interesting video about a very talented ‘artist’........if you haven’ t already found him look for Bad Chad on You Tube and see what he’s doing with some VW pieces, together with whatever else he can cobble together......another artistic genius!
A bit frustrating having to watch six minutes forty seconds before we're given a full view of car. Should start with that, then all the close-ups.
