Carchaeology: The Rosenstiel Coupe VW Beetle Project and Adventure
Randy tells the tale of the Rosenstiel Coupe, a one off hand built creation by Dave Rosenstiel of Arizona that Randy brought back to the Lab for a crazy two week transformation from rolling shell to show car...and the trip around the globe to display it at the famed Volksworld show in England! love that coupe look! I can't help thinking how great it would look with nice paint, can't wait for the "neglected look" to go away
What a great looking coupe. It'll look great once it's painted.

There is only one Stoll known, neat car (but not a fan of the color choice of the restorer)!

@@Carchaeology I don't like the two tone he chose either!!! Neat car though!!!!
Beautiful, l can see why it was hard to let it go.
Very Coool
Awesome car. Appreciate your videos
Awesome. You know I have always wanted to "completely" hand build a car. And bugs have always been a big part of my life. Maybe this will be my last "big" build. As age is becoming a big issue.
The car next to it at 1:35, is that one of those police versions? I read an article about one that was rescued from a junkyard in Spain I think.

Yes ! Good eye! That is a Hebmuller type 18A police car! Super rare VW for sure.
Fun!
some period correct wheels and tires would look proper
Thanks
Wouldn't you rather someone call an ambulance?
What a waste. All that stellar bodywork and you went with a "faux-tina" finish. Can't help but think of how good it would've looked if it had been painted the same color and level of finish as the interior. God, can't we move past the "rust bucket" look already?

Different strokes for different folks! Hardly a “waste”. Some finish prep and a spray and it’s shiny...
