HI Paul &Katie and interesting episode on repacking the Cruisermaser / Deemax disc hubs. The calliper side bolts should have a smear of Bendix Ceramasil applied to the shaft area and small amount Loctite threadlok applied on threads that screw in the mount on the swing arm then torque the slide bolts ro 75 NM. I carry a set of wheel studs and nuts as well wheel bearings and few split pins. Safe travels.

Good supplementary episode gang. Done a few bearings in older cars and our box trailer. Need to do our van between now and next summer. I wish I had a detailed diagram for all the points what needs grease and oil (Grease is the word). Easier to maintain and prevent a failure than have to book with a mechanic 6 weeks ahead of time. I should do up one, or check with Lotus to see if they have a diagram and service book. About to upgrade our inverter to from the Redarc 2000w inverter to the brand new Redarc RS3 3000w inverter, plus up our batteries to 600ahs from 200ahs. Just a swap out and adjust settings in control module. DIY. This should help us go off grid and feel comfortable that we wont run short on power. Would have been good to get Jasperoo to pack some bearings and learn. But, I understand his age and it’s a workplace.

Hello, apologies on the delayed reply 😅 love the idea of having a diagram for all the points! 3k inverter and 600ah will have you set up amazingly well…. How much solar will you have to feed the system? We have same in our van and love that we can stay and play Offgrid forever 🙌💙🇦🇺😊 safe travels

@@TheFeelGoodFamilyhi Paul, Katie and Jasper. Paul, how often should we change or regrease our caravan bearings? We are at this very moment picking up our van from service and they replaced the bearings on our 3 year old van which has travelled about 40,000km. I’m a bit shocked at the $695 charge so thinking we’re going to learn ourselves for the future 😆

Should bearings last longer than 30,000Km or is it just that it's a tandem caravan.

Hi Peter, yes for some vehicles you won’t need them replaced for a longer period. We only replaced because the seals had come away from the bearings completely allowing a lot of dirt in and that had effected their condition greatly so opted for a complete replace! 😅🏕️🍻 safe travels and thank you for the question!
