Captives Among Us: How U.S. immigration laws encourage domestic violence | Hillary Walsh | TEDxLSSC

Undocumented immigrants not only face a myriad of legal challenges, but often are more susceptible to domestic abuse due to their legal status. This talks challenges us to relook current US laws and policies and protect those who often cannot protect themselves. Hillary Walsh, a former foster care and juvi-kid turned lawyer, helps undocumented immigrants live free in the United States. She is an entrepreneur, law professor, mother of four, military wife, and avid Phoenix Suns fan. Hillary is living proof that gratitude is the solution for every problem. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

This would just encourage more illegal immigrants to come here - bad idea. Of course it will be difficult if you decide to come here undocumented.
