I personally liked it a lot. It was a call to a more comic book type of feel /costume. Yeah it’s not as badass, but is probably the one truest to the comics and Steve at that point in his life. Like Phil says “we could use a little old fashioned”

He didn't actually win. I'm pretty sure Thanos actually killed him when he punched him. But, Cap was brought back to life because Thanos used the time stone without actually being an expert in it. (If he had been an expert, then he could have used the stone to bring back vision without reverting the other avengers.)

Love the opening scene when Cap throws the shield without hesitation 🙌🏻 says so much about Steve’s character in seconds. It’s reminiscent of him jumping onto grenade in the 40’s during training

It's because he was trained in martial arts as the winter soldier. When the winter soldier in him disappears, he doesn't remember the training he has been given. Thus, he only has the physical attributes of a supersoldier.

But he no longer seemed to have the super polished "skills" that he had as the winter soldier. As in, the fine motor skills of a professional assassin.

@@convict240 Nah, he didn't forget. It's just that all his killing intent disappeared with the return of his memories. When someone is going all out with zero regard for their personal well-being, with the single goal of murdering their opponent, they can fight with absolutely vicious precision, which is what you see in the fight on the streets in The Winter Soldier.

Thing that made me respect Cap was the serum made him peak strength, speed, and stamina, but the fighting was all him. He had to train to get that good.

You can’t take an I athletic high school kid and expect him to take on a master gymnast, martial artist and warvet just cause he got more athletic If you take spidey at his prime cap would have no chance. @@Loreage I think your under-estimating how long 6 months is, But I will concede to the fact that Spiderman is an amateur but to my understanding spiderman got bit by a spider and woke up with powers and athleticism in this instance is a reflex not a trick, If I tried doing a backflip for instance and didn't fully rotate I would do everything in my power to limit injury to make sure I don't break my neck and I would assume that on 'reflex' spidey would do the same thing since he's an amateur in terms of having these powers but by no means is he on an amateurs level.

Super soldiers seem to be about 20x the power to weight ratio of world class athletes eg Bo Jackson. Spider Man about 50-60x. Loki looks about the same as spidey but 3x denser/heavier than he looks.

Actually Ultron SHREDDED the guards and even Amadeus Chos mom with those blasts, so we can clearly see b4 hand what a casual blast looks like.Compare it to cap, odds are, Tony tests the suits out to make SURE they can handle blasts like that b4 giving it to them. Caps suit protected him from ultron, as u can see any time he got blasted it was on the suit👍🏽💯
