    good call on the forums, benny. for every guy that's willing to film this stuff (and do it well), there are 1000 who are willing to take photos and write about it. still a great source of info for most specific applications. there's also nothing like a website full of people who love your car. and on that note, I love this little car!

    Had one of these when they were new - a red one just the same! Loved the car - would have liked to keep it, but insurance was stupid to run it as a second car when I bought another car..... Weren't many in the Uk to begin with and nearly all have rusted away now. :-( Love the vid!

    Pro tip for the home gamer. Always use just water to run up the engine after installing a new head gasket. Coolant will track and your new head gasket will be ruined. Especially with multilayer steel gaskets.

    The tapping sound is common on these engines. Most likely the IAC valve. Nice work on the Cappuccino! I'm still missing mine ...

    I have duck taped a few sockets together to make a clutch alignment tool for a few cars in a pinch. Definitely not picking up those boxes like that LOL

    ratchet straps are great tools in a lot of places:D replacing springs on struts, just use a couple of ratchet straps, a lot nicer to the paint on the new springs too, rather than the clampy thingies..

    Used to see heaps of these in Wellington New Zealand. One of the mayoral candidates and long term councillor way way back in the day used to drive around in a red one. Edit: I said "used to", she still has it! we're talking around 20 years! Check out the news story caught parking on a pedestrian crossing..

    I once learned a method of removing main seals by gently screwing a wood screw in the old seal and then just pulling it out with a pliers. Sounds crazy but worked well with the smaller seals.
