How did you get one? All out of stock here in Germany… want to get the R6 m2 as main cam aside of the R7. Going for a double set up 👍🏻

I just kept a tab of the Canon website open and checked it a couple times a day 😂 After a week or 2 it was suddenly in stock! Yes the dual setup is pretty great! Especially that you can use the same lenses 👍

I'm enjoying both camera currently, no plans to dump the R7. Can be tough at times when switching with the button layouts of both cameras. New SmallRig cage for the R6MII works and fits well.

Yeah I’m keeping it too! However, I’m thinking if the R8 won’t be a better B-cam to the R6 II 🤔 it has the exact same layout and sensor… Is the Smallrig case still so tight around the lens release button? It was on the R7 version… haven’t gotten the R6 II version in yet!

@@coppensbram I can't really comment on the spacing as most of the larger lens I have I use the adapter which spaces them away from the release button. There may be some issues with larger RF glass but for me the spacing doesn't seem to be an issue. I use an off-brand half cafe for my R7, And it seems to work better than my observations of the small rig version.

Nobody but Canon knows at this point… but the rumors suggest later this year, early next year maybe… 🤔

How did u edit the first part of the video? How did you make your whites whiter?

You mean the intro? I just shoot in clog3. If you don’t overexpose you can really push the highlights in Final Cut Pro :-) Oh and of course you need to light everything properly… I’m not an expert at it, but learning 😊

Thanks ☺️ I am just using the R7 (with Sigma 18-35 and RF 14-35 & 24-105). There are certain clips in this video that were filmed with the R6 II as well (when the R7 is in the frame). I spent a lot of time configuring the lighting and camera angle etc. In my opinion just as important as the camera gear 😊

@@coppensbram Thanks! I have a bmpcc4k w/ a metabones speedbooster and the sigma 18-35, so I've been debating swapping to the r7. Very compelling bit of kit!

changing the button layout is just so annoying. Glad I stuck with the R6 mark I for my second camera

So far, yes 😂 I use the R7 as a B-cam for a second angle. Or when I want to film the R6 II body. But now considering the R8 instead… but not convinced yet…

@@coppensbram i believe so, they dropped a price for 1000€ in Europe at this moment. And this is going on for mostly 2 weeks. But i saw many movies in youtube. And R5 looks more cinematic in compare to R6. I cant identify what exactly, it is color or deepth or something else. Moving of subjects looks differents. I dont know how to explain. Do you see the difference?

Wow that’s a really good deal! I just checked the offers and it’s only $500 more than the R6 II… crazy! 😯 Not sure about being more cinematic though… does the R5 have additional codecs? Canon’s having free tryouts of different cameras here… might give it a try!

i have had the R6 MK II for a little over a month now, I cant wait till they have a cage and a battery grip. I ordered the cage from smallrig, it is coming from china, that is going to take a long time to arrive. Good video.

The cage and battery grip from the original R6 fits fine. I have a Smallrig setup on mine. Ironically it works with my R5 as well

@@pianofinger I have the smallrig r5 - r6 cage to and it not going on , I have to try it again , so you are saying the bg-r10 battery grip works. i ordered the smallrig cage for the r6 mk ii, just waiting on it. i am going to try to put the cage on again and see if it works.

@@pianofinger I jjust tried it and it does not fit, it does not clear the top part of the camera, and according to smallrig it does not fit, can you post a video of it working. i cant get it on and I don't want to force it.
