This printer prints so beautifully! I’m currently using an older canon printer but the quality on this one is greater than the one I have. Definitely want this in the future!

fantastic video man! ive been wanting to print my shots at home for a good while now and I really didn't know where to even start looking, I had spoken with one of the canon reps on their live chat recently and they pointed me in the direction of this printer and wow is it impressive! that's how I came across your video and after watching this Im definitely picking one of these up!

I own this printer and I can confirm that it is Not a hybrid printer, it uses 8 dye inks, inc 2 blacks & 1 grey & 5 colours for excellent black & white & colour photos, up to 13X19 inches, The dye sublimation printing process is totally different to ink jet technology, it uses a dry to dry process, a ribbon which contains the 3 colours, it uses cyan, magenta, yellow, the blacks are made up of equal amounts of the 3 Color inks during the printing process, the ribbon is heated to a high temperature to melt the dry inks onto the paper directly, the printer spits the paper in n out 4 times, 1 for the Cyan, 1 for the Magenta, 1 for the Yellow & finally the last pass is to seal the print with a laminated coating to protect the photographs, hope this helps the confusion🤗

I have a Canon PIXMA Pro 9000 and recently fitted a new bulk ink system. Immediately the print nozzle check showed Group 2 colours as EXACTLY half the thickness of the printed colour band - CYAN, MAGENTA and YELLOW. All the colours in the Group 1 remained perfectly ok. I am being told to get a new print head so I ordered one. Does anyone know how it is that all three of Group 1 colours are exactly only half as thick as they should be. And that is the top half is ok on all three. How can this be? Why has this happened after fitting the new CISS bulk ink system? And what will happen to the new print head when it arrives from China? Thanks.

This is the second Pro100S I've had. Having had had a problem with the first but out or warranty I went ahead with another (Imust have been Mad). Now I find that the "Canon Print Studio Pro" Plug in won't work with Mac Catalina or Photoshop 2020 update (Although it does with Lightroom). I have been on to Canon and they have been less than helpful. Couldn't tell me when an update would be available. I am not the only one as I see from the Canon Forums. I wouldn't buy again.

Same here. Not gonna lie it’s very disappointing. Kept splodging black ink or all the prints. The colours are dull and not all that. claiming there’s low ink when just just spent a bunch of money replacing the ink cartridges. Piece of tat if you ask me, especially for £360 I think.

how many print can you do before needing to refill ? I know it depends on the pictures colours :) but a rough guesstimate is good enough :) thx for the videos

Not many. I get anywhere from 6-10 full bleed a3+ prints before I'm changing cartridges. I feel like I'm changing them constantly.

I have printed 22-13x19, 7-11x14, 33-8x10and 11-5x7 and I did a wedding shoot and printed 4 awesome photos 13x19 to have at the reception four hours after the wedding shoot and I haven't even used 1/2 of the ink...I read somewhere to figure out the ink usage by the square inch and it take about 3 refills to get an actuate measure..Hope this helps.. This Printer is awesome and puts me one step above everyone else shooting weddings.Thanks canon

I have but I find its not anywhere as flexible as Lightroom for organising and logging the images. For example, I upload sample images to flickr for my viewers to see the files, in Lightroom I can batch upload directly to flicr which is so useful for me. There are many other organising things Lightroom does that Capture One doesnt seem to do.

could the model be canon pixma pro 100s ? how could you repeat it wrong so many times and write it wrong as well.

Apologies, it is the Pro-100s, I have checked this morning, I had not noticed there is no 'i' in Pixma. Thanks for pointing this out.

*IF* you can get it to print. Its always a struggle with flashing lights. Not fun

Pixma not Pixmia and it's an inkjet nothing to do with dye sub or not. Nice report but so many mistakes.

This thing is incapable of printing orange tones. It will either shift them toward red or yellow depending on the hue. Even standard Pantone Orange CMYK comes out fire engine red.

It is an inkjet printer, not a dye-sub printer as the gentleman mentions.

Indeed, with a dye rather than pigment ink set

You need to knock down the wall to create one big open studio/work space.
