Thanks, I have been surprised with the quality of photos that it prints, although I have never owned a photo printer before so am comparing to the quality that I get from Costco photo processing (just as good if not better)

You should use this printer at least a few times a week to stop dust settling insider the printer

9:34 can you explain how you got the ink tray to move out if you please?

It did it on its own...but if you have orange flashes you have to clear those first I think. Then it will move over for you

Nice tutorial but the computer interface would have been helpful. The ink cartridge setup is a vast improvement over the dust collector currently not in use. canon has a bad reputation for changing cartridge packs when the upgrade printers.

YOur presentation was ok. However you did not show us amateurs how to connect the camera to the printer . How does one get the photo to the printer? Can I print on canvas?

How or where do i find the Administrative password? I can't seem to get passed that part and i have no idea what the default is

Did you say you got it for $60 with the paper?? Where was this rebate?

I find this printer fiddly and it never prints on the first shot. When/if you can get it to work, it does a great job, but I'm always counting flashes every single time

What's the ink life like are they refillable cartridges

Shonda Henderson not made to be refillable but can be modified and used with ink from a company such as precision colors. Watch Jose Rodriguez’s videos on KZread if you want to learn more.

I would not recommend trying to refill the cartridges - I've never had good luck doing it - at least with my every day all-in one printer. This is a professional grade printer, so you shouldn't be cheaping out on the ink. The printer monitors the ink levels, and by refilling them, you may not get an accurate accounting of the actual amount left. Nothing worse than running out of ink in the middle of a print job. And replacement ink is not of the same quality. The whole set of ink would run you about $150 for the 8 cartridges. And you will go through more black than anything else. As you need to replace a cartridge, you can purchase them separately and only get the ones you need.

At this point I have only printed 8 more sheets (Christmas presents) and don't yet have an idea of how long the cartridges will last.

@@nutty-cool does the printer come with utility software so users can see the accounting reports etc? Please let me know, cause i'm confusing now. I dont know which one to buy (between canon pixma pro 100 or epson l1800) for my studio

bung nahry no the pro-100 does not have accounting software. Go to red river papers website and they have reports on printing cost for lots of printers. There are third party ink refilling options also such as precision colors which will save you about 8-10x the cost of OEM ink. Check out Jose Rodriguez on KZread. He has hundreds of videos that go into depth on everything Photo printing.

You can expect it to cost a little over $5.00 per 13 X 19 print - that is the ink and paper included. If you are just an occasional printer and you can wait a few days for your print, you should probably to think long and hard before buying a printer of this caliber. You can get the same quality and price per print by having them done by a lab without shelling out the $350 initial investment. But if you have a need for a professional print job with professional results, you can't go wrong with this printer. It gives you the same results as photos done by a lab and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference - such as a professional photographer with a need to show his finished work to a client in a matter of 15 minutes, this is an excellent printer.
