Canon EOS R7 Mark II - Canon's Stacked Sensor Loading?

Ғылым және технология

The camera rumor mill is abuzz with whispers of a potential successor to Canon's popular EOS R7 APS-C mirrorless camera, and it could be packing some seriously impressive tech under the hood. If the grapevine is to be believed, the so-called Canon EOS R7 Mark II may be one of the first cameras in Canon's lineup to feature a stacked sensor design, bringing a host of performance benefits to the table. So what can we expect to see?

I just want the next R7 II to be an outstanding performer in low light situations. I'm only asking for a great ISO performance in low light. Go ahead, Canon, I fell in love with that.

For me it would be much more important that there are appropriate lenses for the APS-C RF mount cameras from Canon and aswell from Sigma and Tamron or others. The lenses must have a level which is payable also for non profi photograpers as hobbiests and other non profi people. The available lenses should cover wide angle, portrait, macro and tele which could be used for birds and others. Not each photographer is willing to pay for a lense - mean rf portfolio - double camera price. This might be valid for someone who earns money with his camera but not for all the others.

Believe it when I see it. Why did canon not give us a pro grade crop sensor like the 7d 2 in the first place.

I noticed the R7 was discounted today on B&H. The first thing I thought was a R7ii is coming soon. Just a feeling. It would make sense that the tech would be a significant upgrade and the price would reflect it.

It would indeed be great if Canon listened to the users of the R7 to make a battery grip for it and that it would be available!

While I really like the R7's button and dial layout, I wish there was a third dial like the R6-II that can be used for ISO. While the control ring can serve this purpose I think a dedicated dial would make a significant difference in my shooting habits. Having both cameras has allowed me to see the good in both, and wish for the best of them both to be combined to make a truly great camera. The autofocus on the R7 is a bit irregular as well. It will lock onto a subject and then for no reason jump out of focus and reacquire even on static subjects. I was hoping for a firmware fix from Canon but it hasn't come. I know it's not just my camera because I've seen this issue using a variety of lenses, and have read about it in forums.

Rolling shutter? Focus breathing? Wil these be fixed?

Yes to rolling shutter if if has a stacked sensor. Focus breathing is all in the lens not camera body.
