    This breed is Not For A first Time Dog Owner . Just like the Rottweilers . Training is Not A option With This Breed ! You must train for the dogs whole life ! All you need is to train for a least 10 minutes every day !! This breed needs to work mind and body !

    A couple days ago a dog showed up on our back porch, it looked neglect because of the bumps, scab-like texture, it looked like no one has been feeding it for a long time and little to no hair on its body. But it turned out to a cane corso, it’s still a puppy. I’m personally not a well experienced dog owner, but if we decide to keep it then I got a lot to learn!

    I would provide a crate.for the dog and slowly wait to gain trust. It can take months. If nothing happens after that I would seek a trainer that you have good references for. Some dogs have genetic issues and if that's the case there isn't much you can do.

    I don't know if this is the right way to do this...But we have a cane corso that is 8 months and an alopaha (sp?) blue blood bulldog, my problem is the cane corso is becoming very aggressive with the bulldog. They are both boys, is there anyway to train them to get along? They are both great dogs when separated and they are both very smart and trainable. Any ideas??

  • @canecorsochronicles510

    @canecorsochronicles510

    2 жыл бұрын

    They say same-sex aggression is a serious issue especially with corsos. It’s very hard but fine for the dogs if you crate one and let the other one out and just switch them in and out? We had to do quite a bit of crate time building up to having our second baby and are just starting to allow some more freedom. I was so worried my dogs would be depressed being created for most of the day but they actually don’t seem to care. There is only one trainer I trust right now. They have a Patreon subscription for $30 a month and have live streams every Sunday morning where you can ask questions and get help. Even if you just join for a month that would be my recommendation if you don’t have one already. Since I have not been in that situation I don’t feel confident giving advice. A trainer would be able to tell you if there is anything you can do to train them outside of separating them.

    I have a Cane Corso that's about 7 months old now She is a female and we got her from a person who I believe was getting rid of her coz she was about to die. They said she was 7 weeks old when we got her but there's no way she was more like 4 weeks old. They said she was 7 weeks old when we got her but there's no way she was more like 4 weeks old. She had a broken tail which must have broke when she was close to a newborn. When we purchased her we picked her up at night and by the next morning she was almost dead. I had to force feed her with a syringe and thankfully she recovered. I've had several other dog breeds in the past and this is the 1st time I've had a Cane Corso and wow they sure are energetic and know what they want. Very intelligent and they learn quick. They also quickly catch on to what they can and can't get away with and will push their boundaries. My CC Lucy likes to try and play with you right when you get home and I've had to start bringing a stick with me to direct her negative behaviour to something good when I approach her. She likes to She likes to grab shoelaces So I keep a stick with me to give to her after I tell her no so she can learn it's not OK and can learn something else which could replace that negative behaviour. It's definitely been a challenge but it's also been very rewarding at the same time. Definitely the most difficult dog I've had to train. I've had German shepherds, Alaskan husky, Hound dogs, Australian shepherd's and labs And I can tell you the Cane Corso has definitely been the most challenging but they sure are loyal and great at being guard dogs. We keep her outside for the most part as we are not a big fan of indoor animals. We also have 2 other dogs a red nose pit bull mix and another month and they all get along really well. We also had a cat and the Cane Corso and the cat would sleep together. I need to do an update video on her. Her features have sure started to come out the older she gets and the more she feels out.

    Each one has been different. Excessive peeing can sometimes be a UTI so you may want to call your vet just to be safe. Especially if it’s just peeing. Chewing is definitely an issue especially when they are teething. So that is very common and why many crate when they can’t monitor the puppy. Otherwise it can be shocking how much damage these guys can do in a few minutes if you get sidetracked!!!! Many grow out of it but some don’t! Logan is still a chewer 🤷‍♀️

Many corsos if not all were mixed with other breeds early on. America has finally come clean but Italy has not yet.

    Woop woop! Another breeder who seems responsible and actually tries to stick to the original cc, it bothers me that now that this breed is getting more and more recognition bad changings are happening,like any other breed, and people and judges are starting to breed for looks and awarding dogs that have nothing to do with the old cc...they are either becoming a wrinkly huge mess or starting to have a boxer look..absolutely pisses me off,excuse my language, that these dogs that have nothing to do with what the original standards asks for are getting champion titles. Breeders like you give me hope. Rather pay for a dog with no titles,health tested and the closest to the original cc than a titled dog that has nothing to do with the real standard corso which i am starting to see more and more

    Thanks so much Ricky, I feel the same way. Unfortunately I'm afraid things for this breed may only get worse 😫 people are forgetting what the breed was originally bred for. I have a whole video on this topic in the works because people need to think about what they want to support before we ruin another breed in America. To appease everyone we are in the process of health testing and for my own enjoyment I am working on titles too. I am definitely not an expert on the Corso yet or even on how to work with dogs but I deeply care about the breed and my pups. ♥️

    It is very cruel yo mutilate a dog. Ears and tail are the part of the dog.

    I agree the tail is likely uneccesary but believe it or not it is more humane to crop the ear. Every Corso I know living in a humid environment with ears has gotten an ear infection and they are very very painful for the dog. The ear crop is done while under anesthesia and they are fine the next day, a lot less pain than multiple ear infections. Not sure if this is true for all breeds but trust me the Corso truly benefits from it and I have done my research as I agree it would be better to keep the ears if there was no associated health issues. Ask corso owners and they will tell you. Now with raw feeding and daily ear cleaning it can help reduce chances drastically but not everyone is able to do that. So we crop, but there is no official research on either side. Only experience and yes the tail definitely hurts them for a day or two and breaks my heart taking them to get it done but the ears are very humane to do.

    Not only the ear infection we had a dog choose not to crop the ears even though that was the what they usually do, we live in the woods on acreage and would come back covered in blood with there ears ripped open the cleaning and the infection that went along with this and the pain it went through I figured getting it croped is way less cruel

    @@canecorsochronicles510 You're correct and I do apologize. I guess after watching several of your videos I got a bit impatient for core information. I could have delivered my point in a more polite way. I would still love to watch more short bullet point style videos from your channel while I continue my research on the breed prior to purchasing one. I feel you have amazing content and system in place on how to raise Corso's and would like to learn a lot more about the breed from your channel.Thank you for your content and you breed amazing Cane Coroso's.
