How To Socialize Your Cane Corso Puppy | The Most Important Stage In A Puppy's Life!

We knew before getting a Cane Corso, that the most important thing in his training (especially early on) was to socialize him as much as we could. There is a window in a puppy's life, from 8-12 weeks, that is crucial in this socialization period. Once the window is gone, it's gone. Weeks before we were to bring Judah home, we started researching training courses, and that's where we came across Fenrir Canine Training. We purchased their courses, and have been following them ever since! We are starting to see huge results and, in the grand scheme of things, we've only just begun. Check out the links to the courses below, and if it's something you or someone you know would be interested in, use our code for 10% off.

There's no such thing as a bad dog, but there's a lot of bad dog owners. Dogs are a lifetime commitment and so many folks just don't understand that. Marshall and I have been married since 2002 and we have rescued 11 dogs. We are down to 4 remaining furbabies. We loved the time we had with each one, and still get so much happiness from the ones we have left. It's good to see people who are truly invested in in the joy that dogs can bring. Hugs to Y'all

I gut my Guster from a BullDog/Mastiff rescue. He’s 50/50 English BullDog/American BullDog. His looks are predominantly English, but his demeanor was 100% American BD. He was 9 months when we got him. He was angry and scared. He was the actually tale of the junk yard dog. He was raised to be an asshole. It took me about 5 weeks just to break his madness. Lots of treats!!! I’ve never seen you video till today, but I did most of the stuff you are teaching. Now, Gus is 5 and the people at the dog park know us. He just goes from person to person and sits by there feet. He pays no attention to other dogs. All he wants to do is please people. Your style is amazing! It’s all about patience, love and trust. Thank you for posting. Mastiffs are a breed that are misunderstood. Originally, Mastiffs were many dogs. So much love inside our dogs.

I trained with our Golden for 4 years. Then I volunteered at our local animal control and trained dogs there, so they would be more adoptable. You are so right about the socialization. The more people and other dogs your dog is around, your dogs instincts will tell them the difference between a good person and a bad guy. You guys are doing an amazing job with Judah and are an excellent example to other people on how to train their dogs. I love your videos with Moses and Judah. Great job guys!

But I cant wait.

My German shepherd was brought home at 10 weeks. He is now six yrs old. I have always loved German shepherds and finally had a home big enough for one. His main job is to protect our home and especially my wife. He is animal agressive the animal socializing was done but did nor work. He loves people , he is sweet has friends at all it normal places we take home. BUT when the bad folk are around he gets serious and you get one warning from him. Don't head the warning he goes right for the face. He has stopped a few not so good people in their tracks. He is all that I could ever have hoped for as a sidekick. And I know for a fact my wife is safe when she is at home alone with him around.

Beautiful dog, and I sure do miss the one I had. He could be lazy and he hated water and getting a bath. They can still be very protective and even though they were around several people!

That’s cool. I’ve been watching Will at Fenrir for a long time now. He has been I vital part in my research on my next dog which will be a Cane Corso. He definitely knows what he’s doing. Riding in the back of the truck really shocked me to be honest.

We got ours at 12 weeks and she bit my husband's hands bad drew blood on both hands we knew we might have felt bad for her and got her because she was on the verge of being put down but 2.5 yrs later and alot of love and shes very loving but she wasn't socialized before we got her so we just can't trust her around people but she loves us so much!!

I honestly think if we hadn't have taken her or someone else with some knowledge of big dog behavior she would have had a short life. Either she would have bit someone or just not have been able to control her. But now shes amazing with our family we just know she can't be trusted around other people unless we put in alot of time! We've been working with her alot.

Judah just was not liking Lowes....understandable pup...training and socialization is key to training and gets overlooked sometimes...we trained our Brittany with long lead as well as going to people places...they learn each step if consistant....She was also trained to hand commands as well ...left,right, come in, go back, stop ,stay and hold...purpose was for her direction of where the pheasent went down into the field with taller grass...Cheers from Maine
