One of the greatest most dialed live bands ever! Seen them a few times thru the 90s and they never disappointed. First time I saw them Kevin stage dived and gave me a boot straight to face at the Roseland in NYC. He came back with free merch that someone stole off my girlfriend minutes later. Still, one of the more memorable shows I've ever been to, and I've been to hundreds, and have seen many of the greatest bands ever to grace a stage. These dudes were def way underrated and under appreciated. Not many bands that can sound as good, or even better, live, than their albums.

In a 1994 interview with Playgirl, Candlebox frontman Kevin Martin stated that it was inspired by two friends who overdosed on heroin and "represents the loss of love between friends and having to be left with the feeling of emptinessHe elaborated in a 2008 interview: "I wrote 'Far Behind' for Andy Wood. I was a huge Malfunkshun fan and a huge Mother Love Bone fan and I got to know Andy early on in his career when I was working in a shoe store with Susan Silver who was managing Mother Love Bone, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains.

Most underrated band ever and one of the greatest singers in rock history!!
Amazing performance. The bridge at the end gets me every time
It is time to go on another Candlebox binge!
Wouww... The vocalist voice hasn't changed, amazing
Best song in the history of ever. I remember putting $20 in the tank of my '64 Electra 4 door hardtop and driving through the cornfields late into the night until the tank ran low to this soundtrack. This song still holds up, f#cking timeless.
Scrolling through the comments and no nod to Andy! RIP Andy Wood!
frick. you know it's a good band when they sound THIS good live

Well it also helps when the recording is coming from multiple mics straight through the sound board.
I WAS THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I came to Candlebox for the voice, but I stayed for the guitar. Every part of this band is gold.

Because they sung out of row talent and kept the voice in the throat so much, you waste your voice that way, Layne Staley for example would be voiceless today, Vedder lost so much, Weiland and Lanegan the same. If he still can sing is because he's more a student probably

Damn!!! This sounds even better than the record version! Love it! Miss the 90s

Outstanding group! This Lead singer is so talented and the connection he makes with the audience is spectacular! I love this group!
Kevin , i was front row Portland 1995 Lucy show. You sang to me. Was backstage....❤ saw you again PDX 2018. One of the best!
I was in my 30’s when this came out. I was instantly drawn to it. I’m 60 now & the memories are so good ❤❤❤
I got to see them 4 times back in the 90s and early 2000s and they kicked ass every time 🤘
i remember when Candlebox and I went to go see Candlebox but Candlebox died before Candlebox and I could go see Candlebox. That was the day that i turned away from drugs and really really started planning my career path. Haven't had a cup of coffee since... thanks Cnadlebox!!!!!
this is what real music is all about.
They don’t miss a note. All of them. God Bless!!! Thank you guys

still fuckin love this song!! awesome vocals. great guitars
Overlooked this band for 26 years now I don't know why now but it's not too late to appreciate.
And to watch this show is indeed a blessing. Love Candlebox.
Wow, they sound great! I've been a fan for almost 25 years. I understand why today's music sells but they can't perform like this. It's too studio edited.

This album got me through the toughest break-up in my most formative years. Thank you to the band
DAMN! he never fades. he still got it! SO COOL!
That guitar and that tube amp are perfect his playing and gear are mastered. The singer is killer bass and drums are rock solid. Man. Cymbals are majic.
Back when rock was cool. I don't care if heavy metal, grunge, rock or similar. Need more tunes like this one, except not on someone's death (Andy Wood), at least he got one hell of send off. Awesome song.
I just discovered this, and I started crying, I saw them in Woodstock 94, and I loved their way of appearing on stage, Peter Klett is a wonderful guitarist, and Kevin Martin speechless, his voice is exactly the same from his youth How I miss the 90s, my generation, my times. 💕🌹

This whole EFFIN band is sooo underated, from his amazing voice to their excellent music and riffs....Still, some true rock,,,lets get them back to the top !!
Hes such a good poet/songwriter
One of the greatest most dialed live bands ever! Seen them a few times thru the 90s and they never disappointed. First time I saw them Kevin stage dived and gave me a boot straight to face at the Roseland in NYC. He came back with free merch that someone stole off my girlfriend minutes later. Still, one of the more memorable shows I've ever been to, and I've been to hundreds, and have seen many of the greatest bands ever to grace a stage. These dudes were def way underrated and under appreciated. Not many bands that can sound as good, or even better, live, than their albums.
Probably the best mixed live performance on KZread.

You is pretty deep for me too. Guess I grew up around rough ppl. I just put the cd cover video on my playlist. So, that's as much as I ever paid attention to them, superficially at least. But I remember reading some comment about how he/ she only got there to talk about how they look and it wasn't nice. I guess they're prob slightly amused now. They feel like they should be up there. Here, they don't even seem that much older than me
Best song ever!! Awesome in concert too!

This song I dedicated to my best friend that passed 19 years ago. He's telling me that I should forgive myself for all the stupid things I did, let the guilt go, because all of that is a leaf in the wind. I miss my friends...
This song is easy one of the greatest ROck song out there ever!
Easily one of the very best hard rock songs from the 90's. Just as awesome now (2020) as it was then. Classic stuff.
Glad I found this, thanks for posting. Clean show, amazing.
I was in high school when this song was released. Reminds me of a girl named Angela. We hung out, listened to music and has so much fun. Damn, those were good times.
F'n kiled it!!! Bravo Bravo
Great to see them still swinging
Friends in South Bend knew how much I loved their music and took me to their concert in Indianapolis as a BDay present early 90’s. Love them for it to this day. First day I learned I had sleep apnea as well. Apparently I kept them all up with my snoring in the hotel in Indy afterwards. What a night and memories!
I remember growing up as as a kid and loved these guys. What an awesome voice brother!
