I’ll be searching for ages for scarabs to level Cyno,then find almost 40 redcrests

Candace’s strength is also her main weakness as a support. Her Hydro Infusion in her Elemental Burst means that unless your active character specifically mentions its infusion cannot be overridden (example Hu Tao and Cyno), they can only gain Elemental buffs from her passive.

Does cynos burstform get boosted by her? I always figured it wouldnt, since it has its own multipliers and therefore it counts as burstdamage. I still did always do her burst before cynos, because i run her with noblesse, so i still get a buff. But it would be cool if she boosted him even more.

@@chaosphoenix2812 It never mentioned on his skill description the "This state is considered an Elemental Burst" so technically he does get boosted with Candace's buff

Candace seems like she really could be a good unit, but the main thing that irritates me is that her burst is SO SHORT. Rotations are so painful with her in team, esp for the characters who can utilize her best, like xiao or cyno, who struggle using yunjin because of their large aoe and her hit limit. Its just such a weird time limit and makes her so frustrating to use. PLUS, the best way to utilize her for buffs and dmg would be to activate her burst, THEN go through your rotation to get her wave dmg, then sit with ur dps to utilize her dmg increase... but you can't do that in 9seconds... shes built so weird

I don’t think Xiao needs Yun Jin because most of his damage comes from plunging he does use is na but it like Eula where the normal attacks aren’t the main focus so no Yun Jin needed

Candace falls into the same category as early Kuki/Kokomi: released without role consolidation, a proper DPS she can fully support, or a 4p artifact set she can use. I'm willing to believe she's supposed to be a Nilou support, but I'm not sure if that would even be good.

Eh, Kuki right away had several roles, like people taking advantage of her being electro + healer for their Eula teams, as well as people building for EM to use her to trigger transformative reactions. You know why she's used now? Yeah, because she's an electro healer used to trigger a transformative reaction. Kuki is also pretty new player friendly, providing a healer that didn't need energy to do the job (though does require access to Inazuma to ascend). And Kokomi had plenty of teams she could support, a four piece artifact set (4 piece Tenacity), and was a good hydro applicator and healer. People just crapped on her because she didn't offer Xingqiu levels of hydro application while doing Hu Tao levels of damage. She still doesn't do either, just more people have come to realize what she actually offers. Candace suffers from her main competition for group slots being Xingqiu. And that's a competition she'll lose the vast majority of the time. If Xingqiu wasn't a four star, then Candace would have a bit more of a role. But he is, and so she's mostly just sort of there. And sadly, designed with a kit that sabotages itself, with things like her C6 not working for her, or the split focus between wanting a single character on field (the hydro infusion and DMG buff) and also wanting you to swap between characters. Really needed to pick one or the other and be stronger at it, rather than doing both okay.

@@Axterix13 yes, despite what you said for kuki and kokomi, yes we know what role are they. But during the "early" phase of them, no one really knows what role they will be in as at first glance they have low dmg output while being too niche. Again, in case you ignored the word, it is in the moment they released and was new, no one really understands them, just like what candace is struggling now. In the future, people are going to find her role eventually. Again, just in case you keep ignoring, even the host said "early kuki/kokomi"

My biggest gripes with Candace is that what feels like should be the default duration of her Burst is locked behind C1, and she has the same thing that I hate about Beidou and Yun Jin. Seriously, that passive should just be a part of the Skill and they should get a real A1 passive.

I think NA buffer isn't her best role. Sure, she can be "worse Yun Jin" with Hydro resonance, but what's interesting is her Hydro infusion. I'm not saying she'll be top meta, but you can try some funsies like: Hydro Zhongli, Freeze on-field Kaeya/Rosaria/Qiqi if Xingqiu is busy, Burgeon Diluc (she overrides his burst infusion), Vape Bennett, Hyperbloom/Bloom with infused melee Electro/Dendro/Hydro on field

That last one is exactly the reason I wanted her, with like a sort of quickswap hyperbloom team (I don't have Koko, and Kuki is my number one sorce of hyperbloom damage in said team) so I think it'd be pretty exciting when I get around to leveling her

No, they would work Yelan's NA scale with atk, not hp, and Candace doesn't change the scaling of NA

I use yelan with my Candace every day I never removed Candace ever since I just need C6 so I can max her talents she’s hitting 35k vape so far at talent lvl 8 and she increases the hp and elemental skill dmg on my Hu tao & Yelan. I mainly going all out on her bc I love her design, gameplay and voice actor.

Candace has higher dmg multipliers for her normal/charged attacks compared to other characters so she can function good as a dps as he infuses normal atks with hydro after burst so you should definitely give dps Candace a try

3:46 second hit of the main combo and skill counts as a blunt attack, for breaking geo shields and ores btw. Her burst also apparently doesn't have ICD when you quick swap to trigger more water explosions. for whatever it's worth.

Plz do save those normal fungus drops ( not activated/ not deactivated ) you are gonna need it in 3.2 . You wont regret the decision

I love Candace in certain alternate builds, her DPS build can do a LOT, I think I’m showcases I’ve seen a c0 one do over 100k with a skill but that is obviously Bc of good artifacts. I wish I could’ve gotten her on Cyno’s banner but I wanna get a Nahida :/

Candace is a decent character. Her playstyle isn't just for me. She's not growing on me yet.

Candace might be very nice with future chars to combine with, and an 4 Star alternate for Yelan.

The good thing abt her is that you don’t have to raise her talents if you use her as a hp support

I really love her design, alongside cyno. These two caught my attention back when i didnt even have a genshin account. Now I didnt roll for cyno but recently got candace from std banner. if only hoyo have made her as a good char with solid role in a team, then i'd guarantee her 100% field time for exploration around the desert. The environment, the char design and the soundtrack would make for a nice experience.

Following the trend of 4* being really niche and not complete until C6 I would guess that she is a Cyno support when c6 If I'm remember correctly the NA buff would increase the Aggravate damage and cyno could do a good amount of hyperbloom from her c6

Have you tried to test best Hyperbloom teams? I love using Ayato, Collei, Shinobu (Full EM Build) & either Zhongli or Kazuha.

Support Candace is really good with noblesse if you don’t have one on the team

Since they removed every 3* polearm except Black Tassel from the banners, they are giving characters that can use it (Zhongli, Thoma, and Candace)

She's surprisingly good for new account. Part of it is just her being Hydro ofc, but her E does insane damage for early game regardless. For mid- and late game she's one of the best supports for Ayato and Xingqiu, so thats more than enough for me. Also she' hot af and her VA does a great job, which counts :3 Overall i am not upset that i pulled, her best C's are her first ones too.

I just realised a possible solution to the end game problem. Why not introduce a new world level that guarantees much higher loot with enemies that are level 95-105 (abyss levels). It won't be necessary for the F2Ps while making the game somewhat enjoyable for those who actually support the game other than giving them the finger for spending their life savings🤷🏾‍♂️

A team I recommend with her (only if you want to see her as a DPS) kazuha, xialing, Yun Jin and Candace. First use xialings burst, pull them in with kazuhas E, Yun Jin burst and then Candace burst. Even at a level 1 NA I saw candance hit for 12k

I'm currently building Candace main driver on a hyperbloom team with raiden. Not the best team I've used but she gets the job done. I mean, why not, right?

Actully her normal attack multipliers are pretty good

I built a hydro Eula comp, featuring Eula, Yelan, Yun Jin, and Candace. All 3 supports buff Eula's normal attack scaling/damage, while Candace converts Eula to hydro and buffs her hydro damage; Eula has 4 set Shimenawa's for more normal scaling plus Redhorn for crit+normal scaling. I don't think I've ever seen Eula do so much damage with her normals, it's not practical but it's fucking hilarious

I'm jealous of your yoimiya, yours does so much damage but its been a year and i still cant get 4 piece shimenawa :(

While Candace feel a little lacking sometimes (like not being an actual hydro shielder outside of her skill like Beidou or Yun Jin's crystallize even though Candace would just make thematic sense... ok HYV) I don't think she's really that bad. I've found her skill is a lot more useful than I originally thought so I see her now as offering 3 forms of support: NA buff, hydro infusion, and periodic shielding. Her C1 and C4 definitely help with QoL but she's a decent unit, not broken but also not as bad as some people make her sound. I see her compared to Yun Jin a lot but unlike YJ, Candace has access to a bunch of useful elemental reactions. Of course if you need hydro application and off-field dps use XQ or Yelan, or if you want a stronger NA buff then use YJ but if you want a small NA buff, hydro infusion, AND periodic shielding then that's a role that she can fulfill. Also I've found she's much better suited in a quickswap team instead of a standard main dps setup since her burst is pretty short. Personally, I've been running her on triple HP on either 4p Noblesse or 2p Tenacity + 2p Emblem with either Fav Lance or Black Tassel if there's another hydro character on the team. I've been playing with a "Razor Taser" team with Razor on Rainslasher and Zhongli Taser with Fischl and they're pretty fun, also been running some freeze comps and her quickswap playstyle is actually pretty fun. Idk I don't think she's amazing but I also don't think she's that bad.

She's one of those weird kit designs characters, i've tried her with a bunch of team but atm the best one is prob dendro bloom team after bloom nerf (it not longer count as enemies so technically Barbara's passive won't work anymore). But tbh yelan and xingqiu is just way way better with longer burst time and damage. She's acting on my team as the spot for Nilou before she's being released.

@@yukichan177 back then bloom acts like as a enemy which allows barbara to infinite proc hydro (I'm pretty sure more enemy, barbara will deal hydro status more often) they kind of change the bloom into loots while still able to be swirl by Anemo it not longer allow barbara to hyperbloom. I wouldn't consider as a nerf for both barbara and bloom it's more like bug fix even tho it's not really a bug

My idea for candace is to be a sub dps for Childe on a taser team.

To raise her is rly easy, because redcrests are scatered all over the map in fairly large quantities. One of the reasons why I do not want Cyno is that I have to farm scarabs and it is a PAIN.

How about Candace/Kokomi? Would that be good?

Candaces damage is quiet underwhelming, so I wouldn't go for dps. Found her best set to be 2pc Tenacity + 2pc Emblem and Black Tassel for the HP boost. Also her damage buff is quiet decent but she does require a lot of HP and ER!

I hate that levelling her burst doesn't actually increase her damage buff, it's so stupid. they restricted her so much, most of her constellations fix purposely made flaws, which only leaves like 2 good constellations. I love Candace a lot, I've lvl 90'd her and am gonna double crown her, but it sucks how much they've restricted her.

I pulled cynos weapon and have candace.....so I guess I'm doing dps/em build candace no clue how it's gonna go

I’ve been playing since a few months after release and I’ve still never lvl 90’d a character because I think it’s not worth it. My highest is childe at lvl 89 if he wants to get to 90 he’s have to do it himself slowly with the xp lol( I raise him by 1 level once in a while that’s probably why he’s above level 80)

My Ayato does 8k-11k damage without buffs so I would guess if I tried this comp he would be hitting 30k minimum?

Quite good. But how about her bloom reaction? Do you think Candace would be on par with Nilou?

I tried candace with 1300 EM with traveler 4 pieces deepwood. Roughly 24k per bloom

I don't know if someone else has said this But Candace's hydro infusion actually overwrites Benny's pyro infusion
