    Cancer cells can use glucose, fructose, ketones, lactate, fatty acids and various amino acids as fuel sources. Since many of these are generated by the body, it is impossible to starve cancer cells.

    I break my fast daily (16-24 hours average) with a moderate plate of 3 or 4 fruits. So many people have screamed "sugar!!" to me when I mention I eat fruit first. But I lost 30 pounds and my insulin dropped to a 5 from the 20's, and my insulin glucose ratio shows that I am no longer insulin resistant. Very true, fruit (i.e. natural sugar, fiber & nutrients) is not the enemy. The enemy is processed sugar.

    based on my understanding.. sugar is sugar, but the fiber and other nutrients in healthy foods (i.e. fruits) assists the body in reducing the insulin spike. also, you FAST 16-24 hours which gives your body plenty of time to clean itself up! so eating fruits isn't going to hurt you in any way because your body will immediately process and burn it up, therefore no overworking of liver

    What about glucose that rises due to stress? Where does that come from? Does your body produce it?

  • @Mussskylark

    @Mussskylark

    8 ай бұрын

    Your body produces glucose when it's out of sugar. This called gluconeogenese. People who practice a ketogenic diet experience this. Because when the body is out of it's main fuel (sugar) it uses it's fats to produce energy. But your glucose levels can also spike due the stress. When that happens your kidneys producing adrenaline and noradrenaline wich are spiking your glucose levels.

    Er zijn een paar dingen die ik deed om van mijn hooikoorts af te komen. De eerste methode was lokale bio honing kopen van de imker. 1 theelepel per dag is voldoende. Het beste is dat je al begint met deze therapie voordat het hooikoorts seizoen van start gaat. Ten tweede nam ik veel koude douches zowel s'ochtends als s'avonds. Daarnaast moet je ook in je achterhoofd houden dat dieet een belangrijke rol speelt in het scherp en intact houden van je immuunsysteem. Alhoewel er weinig studies en aanwijzingen zijn zoals bijvoorbeeld honing therapie, wordt er ontkent dat deze remedies helpen. Daarom is er is ook belangrijk om je eigen research te doen op het web en vertrouwelijke doctoren op te zoeken als je vragen hebt. Er bestaan namelijk ook homeopathische doctoren die je ook eventueel verder zou kunnen helpen. Want denk eraan, je hebt een dokter en je hebt een echte dokter. En wanneer iets werkt, dan werkt iets.

    Those foods you mention are very healthy (as long as you have no allergy to them). It is very easy to teach yourself to like a food you used to loathe in a short time. Kale and chard can be chopped up in small bits and sprinkled into a salad. If impossible, try raw red cabbage or arugula to substitute, as they are also part of the cruciferous family. Or raw green juice powder. Start with one seafood at a time, maybe cook it differently, and get yourself used to it. Shitake mushrooms taste better than some others. Just some ideas.

    Sometimes as adults we do things we don't like because it is for some greater good. Sadly, your body is not very interested as to what tastes "yummy" to you. Maybe consider eating the food for more reason than just satisfying the urge to to have something tasty? Lol, welcome to America, folks. Curious, where did you collect your data? I can assure you that all the countries mentioned that consume sugar do so in a natural form or cane sugar. In the US the main ingredient in processed and refined carbohydrates is fructose corn syrup. Needless to say this sweetener is not good for insulin and the body cannot digest well and causes cancer. If these countries you mentioned more whole fruits, molasses, honey, dates are consumed not processed corn syrup….. These countries do not consume levels of fast foods like the US and Europe that contain fructose corn syrup in hamburger buns and sodas. Sugar is meant for a treat not a daily occurrence and soda consumption is just out of control in the US at fast food restaurants and beyond. The moral of this story here is eat Whole Foods, fruits and vegetables. Green tea is chemically great for anti-cancer and black tea as well. Processed microwaveable foods also loaded with fructose corn syrup and breakfast cereals just need to off of everyone’s menus.

    @28jewelsboogie the internet from reputable site. Clinical studies show that sugar doesn't cause cancer or promote it. Fructose is natural in nature in fruits and vegetables. No one just eats fructose by the teaspoon. There is no evidence that consuming sugar makes cancer cells grow faster or cause cancer. The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) has reviewed all available evidence to update the Australian Dietary Guidelines and concluded that consumption of sucrose is not associated with an increased risk of cancer. The study with fructose and cancer with nurses study is trying very hard to associate sweeten drinks with pancreatic cancer with women. Hilarious the women were overweight, by the way. Stop listening to rubbish. T Colin Campbell has real evidence that animal proteins promote cancer growth, including high fat diets end off story.

    What happens when you don't eat (be sure to drink lemon or lime water if you choose to practice fasting): Not eating for 12 hours triggers the growth hormone 18 hours - autophagy is triggered. Old, damaged proteins, microbes and amyloids are cleaned up and recycled 24 hours - your glycogen reserve becomes depleted which triggers the body to begin using ketones as an energy source. Stem cells cause the gut to heal, inflammation such as arthritis goes down. autoimmune conditions start to improve. The heart benefits greatly and the brain makes new brain cells 48 hours - undifferentiated stem cells that really don't have a purpose begin to increase greatly, so wherever they are needed is where they go to do the most repair. They are great for making a person look young LOL. Tumors shrink and there is a decrease in the risk of certain cancers. Mitochondria production is increased 72 hours - even more stimulation of stem cell production and better immune function occurs. Not cool to do a 72 hour fast but every once in awhile. Now by sugar I mean table sugar which is one glucose molecules joined to one fructose molecule. Dr Robert Lustig explains how the damage done by sugar is from fructose which is 7 times as sweet as glucose. Most ultraprocessed food has no fiber so sugar will be absorbed quickly and the fructose can overwhelm the liver and cause fatty liver disease. See Dr. Robert Lustigs talks on You Tube for details.
