For my own sake I’m glad that almost every instruments and voices on earth have fundamentals and couple harmonics before 16K 😂

Sounds different for sure, but is it harmonics that can account for that as much as high frequency hearing?

Possibly, because each single note is made of a dominant frequency and numerous sub frequencies crushing into each other.

@@catadegen Love that description! This was a great demo of what harmonics add to the quality of sound :) Is it possible to limit frequencies below say 12 or 13 k and just hear what is above it?

@@ScottoGrotto tried, my free plugins only support hp up to 10khz, and it sounded nothing but void and small ultrasonics Zzz

@@catadegen What is “hp”? It may not sound very recognizable, but sounds like you can hear those frequencies:) I’ve heard a frequency sweep on KZread that goes from 20-20khz. Above 10k I wasn’t able to distinguish between tinnitus and sound from the sweep :) But at least in your video the harmonics were there and added substantially to the richness of the tone of the instrument when included! That is the point some audiophiles incorporate with a super tweeter well above 20k to incorporate further harmonics, potentially. Thanks 🙏
