Can You Guess What Language The Polyglot Is Speaking?
Polyglot Matthew Youlden paces the streets of New York in search of some unsuspecting New Yorkers to play Guess The Language. Matthew says a few sentences in one of his many languages, and the New Yorkers attempt to guess which language Matthew is speaking. Check it out!

I hope life will offer me the chance to really improve it, I'd be very glad then ^^. And thank you for your nice words, it always feels great and empowering knowing that you have other people's support!^^

When he started speaking Irish 😍 Cá bhfuil tú i do chonaí ?
When I worked in the National Praks. I could recognize the western European langusges, Spanisn, German, French and Durch. mostly, Once I got fooled by Chilian Spanish. The Scandinavion langues, I could only tell they were Scandanivian. Asian languages sounded prettu much alike. And the same with the Slavic languages, NOt even Europeans could tell them apart.

Irish!! Not bad!!
I could actually understand a lot of the questions he asked them...I feel sooo gooood!:)
la última vez que ví una encuesta de este tipo hecho en el mismo lugar los encuestados confundían un estado con un país y pensaban que su país se llamaba América ,no estados unidos
Did he say ik kom uit veendam? When he spoke Dutch? XD

"Bare bra takk", you don't have to be proficient in Swedish to know this. Btw, learn Norwegian instead, it's easier, and you'll be able to understand what the Swedes are saying while also understand what the Dannish are writing. Win win

Alice In Salt Land It's hard to understand when you're not a native speaker and you listen to someone who doesn't pronounce things like a native speaker, but thanks for that tint of insult. Also I don't think Norwegian is easier. For me they are about the same.

podría ponerse el micro el que habla el idioma no?

That Swedish tho
PORTUGUES DE PORTUGAL É QUE É CARALHOOOOO!!!!!!
Bring the mic towards you more when you're speaking please, I basically couldn't hear what you were saying. I wanted to play along too.
How could he mix up Finnish and Swedish?? Also, I'm sad that Babbel don't do any Finnish stuff ever...
Brasil representando. lol
1:35 "brazilian?" is not even a language LOL in brazil we speak portuguese, as americans speak english, or did you speak "american"?
People did better than I'd expect! But I'm such a pessimist when it comes to people in the US and other languages/cultures. I've had friends from Chicago tell me they don't know the capital of countries like France and England. Haha But it seemed there where quite a few people from different backgrounds in the video. =P Which is always nice to see since we are so diverse here (in some areas of the country at least).

Brasileiro é coisa de loco mesmo, flerta na cara dura kkkkkkkkk
This has convinced me that I'm terrible with European languages. I'll stick to Mandarin and its neighbor languages. I'm beginner conversational in Mandarin but my hanzi is pretty terrible. Besides that I've picked up a couple words in Tibetan (Amdo) and a few others like Japanese and Mongolian...But until I'm conversationally fluent in Mandarin I'm not going to say that I really know two languages.

He should mic himself more than the guessers. You can't hear him! It's frustrating - I went and found another video. Great idea, though - they should redo it.
