It’s funny how Arabics created a bunch of stuff and spread it while invading the world, such as numbers and some words, now most of these things are ours and used more by western societies than the arabs themselves 😂 I guess it’s safe to say they’re our words now 😉

We're still making these dumb videos comparing a germanic language to 4 romance languages and English loan words from romance languages? Hey everyone, look, Mandarin Chinese has a different word for butterfly from 5 different languages (nevermind that those 5 languages are all Slavic).

Wait for him to find out Spain was ruled by arabs and was a majority muslim region. Also lots of those words are in fact Parsi (Farsi/Persian), arabs got them, add an “Al” and you got it with the extra A/Al from Arabs.

En Colombia también se dice cremallera. No sé si habrán regiones donde se diga cierre. Pero es una palabra que si escucho, también entendería. También nevera, fresa y comotadora, aunque la mayoría dice computador.

Actually some of them like kaas, badhinjan, zeit, zaitun they go back to sanskrit (indian language) or avestan ( old persian language or language of Zoroastrianism); whats interesting here is both persian and indian people have high regards for Zoroastrianism and consider it as their roots.

It always depends on the variety. In some French varieties 'patate' is the correct term, on the other hand some (or all?) south american countries use 'papa' for potato. The same for 90, which is called 'nonante' in some places.
