Can This Plan Save Disney? 7 Things We Just Learned About Disneyland Forward
Huge Updates From Disneyland Forward This Week - Hey, Brickey shares seven things we just learned about Disneyland Forward and how Disney has changed the way it talks about some of the proposed projects' possibilities.

It’s crazy to me how this is a 10-40 year plan while Universal is building full brand new parks in 5 years

Disney has to go through the city in order to expand and change the zoning rights. While universal already has the land available. Totally different situation

@@sonidoacuario845it took Disney 5 years to build cosmic rewind and Tron and that is entirely their land in Florida. Lame excuse, Disney has completely lost their way and universal is capitalizing on it.

@NamesSimba here's what you're not understanding: Disney did not buy all the land yet, so they must purchase the land and buy into the city to assist them in expanding as well to make up for the space they are taking. The reason it takes years of development is because let me put it this way, here in Los Angeles County, Universal literally bought an entire plot of land the size of a city, where is Disney did not buy that much land to build Disneyland in the first place. As far as Florida goes, here is the problem, Florida's governor. This man not knowing the whole scale of Disney's influence on the state has attempted to destroy Disney from their theme park in Florida much like Don Quixote trying to attack a demented windmill. Now here's the weird part about it, Disney owns all of that land that's actually on for Walt Disney World. Basically, Florida's governor is trying to take away their control over their own land. That's why there's been project delays in that area
Lol, I’m 60, and would like to live long enough to see this expansion. Gotta get on the treadmill 😉
The only bad thing about a massive DCA expansion potentially making it a better park would mean I can't skip DCA on every Disneyland trip anymore 😂 Not surprised to see them learning from Fantasy Springs, Tokyo Disney Resort also made the strange mistake of a convoluted third gate called "DisneySky" before settling on Fantasy Springs/Beauty and the Beast expansion
Absolutely genius!! Big corporations aren't always going to be so forward on future plans, Walt is still being koy all these yrs later. Disneyland Forward is something I can not wait to see started and take shape! AND LOOK WHO WENT TO THE TOP OF THE TREE HOUSE
Brickey and the most thought provoking Disneyland videos
Just stumbled upon your channel, and so glad I did. You have by far the best Disneyland content out there. This is exactly the perspective I was looking for.
Been waiting for this since Disney posted a third theme park proposal website back when I worked there in the early 2000s!

And why a third Theme Park would be a good thing if the current two theme parks need a lot of investment that is not being made.

Your videos are my absolute favorite. You interpret information beyond face value. You think ahead of the messaging. And I love it. Wish I could get there more often.
It’s crazy the potential expansions coming to Disneyland and Disneyland Paris
Hundred percent agree with you! Can’t wait for more!
Great job Brickey on explaining the current situation with Disneyland Forward. I got my fingers cross that all will go well when the Anaheim City council ultimately decides what happens with this project in April or May.

I think with having the governor onboard and all of the direct spending with the city it's gonna happen.
Love your story telling and explanation of this subject. Keep up the stellar work.
I needed this video ... my day is now complete!
This is the best content on this subject. None better, and I’m glad DF isn’t doomed :-)
Brickey!… I am ecstatic to envision this headline news!… Jumping for joy for the brilliance of The Parks’ future, and how this process has the certainty (almost) of being planned/ managed so well. Thank you for your work!…
I love the commentary and the color-coordinating. Thank you, Brickey.
Excited to see the future deep dive videos! Thanks for all the great research you did for this!
I love this stuff too! I am a CM and I learn more from your videos than I do working here lol
I appreciate how much time you spend on preparing these videos! You have to really study the material well in order to present it the way you do. So excited for everything that’s coming!

Preach Brother Preach!!! I have a video I'm working on that talks just about that. Stay tuned.
Fresh Baked reported that Disney wants to take control of Hotel Way. Which at first makes no sense, unless that is where they want to run the gondola or people mover. They could build a Disney Skyway or people mover connecting Toy Story to DCA via Hotel Way and turning at Convention way. I saw your other video months back running it through Garden Walk, but Hotel Way would also make a lot of sense.
I love your videos. It’s always an interesting look at the park and so informative.
Love your break down and excitement Brickey. Im here for it! Soooo excited for the adventures to come for the experience of Disneyland Forward!! ❤😊
Great video Brickey. So excited to see what will come to the parks. You have so many innovative ideas on what we could get. Can't wait for your next chapter on the subject!

GREAT VIDEO BRICKEY!! This has me excited for sure! The only thing I wonder is will we see this happen in 10 years or 30? I can't wait to see your stand alone videos on these updates.
This is genius. Universal is trying to turn their Orlando Parks and resorts into Disney World. Disney like ya, we got 4 parks and 2 water parks, so why don’t we do the same with disneyland. Disney will have 2 resort complexes and possible 4 with Tokyo already having 2 and same with paris while universal will have 1 which is of lower quality. Absolutely GENIUS! Way to go Disney! :)
To see how excited you are about the future of forward has got me probably more excited that I thought I would've been but just like you I'm here for it!
Wow so excited for this, just hope to live long enough to see it 😂. This news plays right into what you have been speculating for the several months. Thanks for your hard work!
Can’t wait for the follow up videos Brickey!
Man i cant wait for more of these breakdowns and info
1. Brickey is a genius, and quite possibly, the best brainstormer/imagineer youtuber. 2. I don't even care if he turns out to be false, or if disney changes plans. The passion, and logic is insurmountable. 3. Hey Brickey, love to know what is going to happen, but are there any plans to make Rumour Debunk vids? I love that side too. There is a way to make them be amusing, rather than dreery. 4. Although, lots of tentative plans are in the works, I'd love to here what you would do, purely from your imagination. Like, if you had it your way, would (insert ride) be removed completely or moves to another part of the park, etc. Or something you would replace it with.
I can see the Peoplemover coming back now as well as an expansion to the monorail system. When you take a step back and look, this is really an incredible amount of space. Disney should hurry up, however. If Epic Universe starts to spread over to California, there will definitely be some competition.
Yeah you called it, I’m so excited !
As a Disney Cast Member what a Fantastic time to be at the right place at the right time.
This is getting exciting. I would love to hear all your thoughts on what you think things will be. I look forward to more videos on all this.

Before the expansion of Mickey and Friends parking structure, where were all these people parking?
Way cool! Keep up the good work.
I’ve commented elsewhere over the past year, that a connection between Critter Country and Lilo & Stitch lots, would make a great transition from the American woods to the forests of Pandora 😏💡
FINALLY!!!! i been asking where are we gone park? if they take away the parking we have now.
My buddy in Burbank said they're already building Avatar Land connecting from Critter Country crossing the street making it a long and slow progression
I made it on time yessss
This is definitely an excellent update
Either that parking structure is gonna be like 11 floors since the cast parking is roughly the size of just the Pixar Pals parking of west parking, or they are going to need to acquire the lot and building just north of current cast parking, I don't believe they own that. Which would give them roughly 1M sq ft to build up on, current west parking structures combined are slightly larger at close to 1.1M sqft, but since east lot will be further from the park they can build higher without it being a visible from the park. Toy story becoming a third park always made the most sense, Gardenwalk getting bought would be a nice link to the new lot site, but getting people to the third gate will be a bit of a logistics challenge, as I think Disney wants to get away from the buses. I can see the DLP expansion maybe including a directly linked hotel with a dedicated entrance along walnut, would serve as a good sound barrier to the park, can probably dedicate a lower floor of pixar pals to hotel parking to be nearby. Parking for Pixar Pier and DLH gets a little murkier with the DCA expansion, unless they want to have the parking literally under the park or have mandatory valet service.
Whoa! I love what I’m hearing here ❤
Cries in Disneyland Paris
I wish instead of adding more parking they’d focus on offering just a basic level of public transit. Southern California is obsessed with cars and has horrid traffic. Think of all the theme park we could have if all of this land wasn’t just parking spots
Love your content
This is why I love brickey
Awesome video 📹 👏
“Brickey was right!” Me after I heard the news. 😂😅 Great job as always dude👌🏼👍🏼
Sounds about right.
Im so hoping one of these projects is Neverland! I appreciate the content you create, love your channel. 🥰
I really hope this expansion happens however, Walt Disney World also needs expansion to compete with Epic and to add more footfall, villains land at MK, Encanto and Coco with Indi at MK, Muppets retheme for RNRC at HS and more muppets presence and PLAY pavilion for EPCOT along with Test Track retheme ......yeah we can all dream lol
wow why havent I seen this channel sooner?
The need to update & expand the Disney footprint in Anaheim is a given. The original park & DCA have been blown away by the 2 parks in Tokyo &, of course, the overall setup in Orlando. Also, Disney's large surface parking lots in Anaheim are an eyesore. Hard to believe the land under DCA was DL's main parking lot until as recently as the late 1990s. However, the southeast corner of DCA since 2001 has remained a lot for cars & should have been filled in a long time ago. Unlike the DL Forward plans, upgrading the land near the NW corner of Harbor & Katella shouldn't have required special building permits. So it seems that a lack of enough funding & logistical-creative ambition more than land-use restrictions have been the main things slowing down Disney in Anaheim. The company's ongoing politicization is also not helping things.
Will this also help bring prices in the park down?
What they are offering for the streets does not pay for the cost of mitigating traffic that is already a nightmare and will only get worse without those roadways Disney wants to absorb. How are park improvements in another part of the city a benefit to those in central Anaheim who will be trapped in even worse traffic than they already endure? And how do packed roadways add to the enjoyment of the visitor experience? Shoot term gain for decades of nightmare isn't a solid plan. Disney has proven they are very good at building bridges (see DTDD for example) they need to transition the space that way and leave the roads alone. But it's cheaper to buy off the City and leave those outside the parks to deal with the misery. I love Disney, but this is nuts.
Basicily they're making Walt's origian vision of Disneyland come true! 😊
Also that whole idea of Downtown Disney “West” being theme park was never a good idea. Just expand DTD in with the hotels and give each park an additional west entrance.
Let’s see if they actually do 1/2 of what they say
Disney isn't taking tax-funded loans because they would have to comply with Anaheim's "living wage" stipulation. Nothing against that, it's completely legal...and less expensive to self fund than to raise Castmember pay. Looking forward to seeing the completion of what's planned.
Considering Disney's history, under Iger, with Anaheim this all sounds too good to be true.
Let’s talk about it 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think it is a mistake to build a 3rd gate at DLR. Most people I know like that it is just 2 parks because it is not as overwhelming as WDW. It would be better to build a 5th gate at WDW to keep up with Universal.
Personally, I think the Disneyland Hotel will stay and serve the role that the Grand Californian does for DCA, but I think that the Pixar Pier hotel will be torn down, as well as most of the current Downtown Disney (which will be replaced by the new shopping/dining district).
2nd comment - p.s., if you will 😂As someone who can happily enjoy a pretty full day at DCA, any additions to that park will be so welcome!

I think Tomorrowland is just a placeholder at this point for something big when they have the right idea at the right time. Complete demo and rebuild.
Oh geez I'm late
Does Mickey and Friends even need to exist if the new lot is bigger than both? Gimme all that too for theme park space!!! 😅❤😂
Hey bri
I don’t think that the Disneyland Resort needs a third theme park, maybe a water park, that would be nice in Southern California as it’s hot and sunny and there are none, that I know of at least, there are beaches near by, but that’s a different experience, I only don’t know if they can do it with the water problem in the region. Disneyland is already a two day experience, it’s impossible to see everything in one day, especially if you have kids that want to explore Toontown and Tom Sawyer island… a new land would be cool and a Never Land like in Tokyo would be awesome, BUT they should at least update Tomorrowland first; there’s no reason for Autopia and the Submarines to take that much space, at least not the lame current Nemo version, the carousel theatre has been empty for a long time not considering Star Wars photo and now the DVC lounge (it needs a proper attraction), the people mover track has been empty for decades and Star Tours doesn’t make sense there anymore after galaxy’s edge opened (by the way, they should turn that to OG trilogy). DCA could use an expansion, but first they should build the Avengers attraction that they promised long ago, and if DCA also becomes a two day park, a third park there would be too much. Anaheim is not Orlando, there’s nothing else to do in Orlando besides going to theme parks and shopping while there’s a lot to do and see in Southern California. Disneyland would also be competing with beaches and all the great things to do and see in the LA, OC and even San Diego regions, and I think that most people want to spend their whole Sol Cal vacation on theme parks.
You keep skipping the main issue with the Harbor Blv. bypass was.... visitors, like me, who always stay across the street would have to walk longer than DL Hotel guests. Making overpriced DL hotels more appealing
I hope if this project gets approved, we get Zootopia land in the expansion
GardenWalk???
They can’t even update Tomorrowland fans build the Avengers attraction on DCA…
Josh D'Amaro Is he da' man?
Does this mean the general public can’t walk into Downtown Disney any longer?
Big company’s never do things out of the goodness of their heart. Im sure they’re getting a serious kickback from the state.

Some companies get free money to create and build wealth for a select group of people. Just like the printed money for covid they have been doing this for other reasons throughout history.
