Proving A Disney Urban Legend True!
Does Disney Have A Dome? Proving A Disney Urban Legned True!
One of the bizarre things that people google about Disney parks is the Disney urban legend does DISNEY HAVE A DOME over the top of Disneyland and Walt Disney World? Ridiculous I know but I do think I can prove that when you are inside a Disney park, you are in a bubble or dome of sorts... Let me explain!

Thanks for adding more layers to Disneyland for me. I appreciate your love of what was created by so many amazing creators brought together by Walt. We are blessed that you are taking time to collect all these stories in the park and share them with us.
The "bubble" you talk about is absolutely true. On a recent trip I went to Universal Studios one day and Disney parks for 4 days and there was this hard to explain difference that was very very apparent that was missing from Universal. It was that immersion, that bubble you're in while at Disneyland. It's not there at Universal and it felt grating. You wait in line at Disney but at Universal waiting in line felt like a chore. It was tiring. Returning to Disney was like a breath of fresh air.
That was awesome. I can’t believe that everything that I super love was designed by the same guy. Thanks for the lesson. I loved it.❤
This is probably one of the best videos you have made. Not only are you talking about design, but your camera shots are definitely on point with your subject from long shots to establishing shots. I'm a residential architect, and I applaud you sir! 👏👏Most viewers probably won't cling to this style, but I certainly appreciate your consistency in the product you are wanting to create and provide to us friends and viewers.
Packing soo much deep cut history in this video, I absolutely love it!! - I would never have known about John de Cuir let alone ever thought twice about the hitching posts.
Love the story telling, the edit, the style. Hope you keep up the magical work ….Adam 🇦🇺
It may be niche, but I love the focus on design and how it all comes together. Keep doing these, they’re awesome!
You got some AMAZING footage for this video. Magic Hour? Rope drop? It's like you have the park all to yourself. :)

That's what I was wondering....where are the people on the haunted mansion?
As an interior designer, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this video!
Thanks for dropping the Disney details and history. I enjoy viewing the parks through your educational and entertaining content. Thanks, Brickey!
Brickey, I appreciate that you don’t just take us to the parks, you enhance our experience of them. In other words, you make the happiest and most magical places…better! Another great video from an amazing talent. Thank you.
We’re so here for all the niche content you can provide✨Confirms our love for all the magic designed into the resorts✨✨✨ In DCA the panoramic view from the bench, the only bench, next to the Adorable Snowman Frosty Treats strengthens your knowledge. That’s my newest fav vantage point that looks straight from an illustrator’s page✨✨✨
Another great video Brickey! Really enjoy seeing the parks through a designers eye. You point out so many amazing things that most people don't even notice! Keep up the good work! I'm here for it all! 😊
Amazing video Brickey!! I was really struck by the quality of your writing in this episode. The way you say things sometimes boarders on poetry. Visuals on point also. Please keep making niche videos for us weirdos. Anyone can film a review of the newest snack on Main Street but to make truly INTERESTING content is an art. Keep it up man👍
The windows of Main Street are truly something very special to Disneyland, they are the creators who welcome ever guest, and quietly say thank you for visiting. Have you experienced the book “Windows on Main Street by Van France? Thanks again!
Absolutely love DL history. What a great episode. 🤘🏻1313
Very Cool! I love this explanation of the ‘The Bubble’. As a former CM at WDW, it is spot on! Thank you!
Maybe you could make a video about each person that has their name on a window. That would make a good Play List and people would find your videos when Googling one of those names.
Loved this. Video ended and I forgot I was on KZread! I was sitting waiting for the next episode to start.
The flight restriction is a KIND of dome.
I have viewed several of your videos, including this one, while in bed. I can't "like" or subscribe from there, but this one was so good that I had to get up and get on my lap top to do both. I really enjoyed the subject matter and your production quality is superb. My brother was born the day Disneyland opened. We're planning a trip to Disneyland in 2025 to celebrate his birthday again as we did in 2015. I'll be watching your updates as that day approaches. Thanks for what you do.
I must tell you, Brickey, what you have done to me. I look for new Disneyland videos everyday, only because our trip is coming up SOON...like in November. I have virtually zero artistic talent. I should not be interested in the details that you discuss. But NOW I see you post a new video post, and I go to it as soon as I can. This one is no different. All that you showed is important Disneyland history that I am sorry I did not know before. I wonder if I should be scribbling notes to take with on the trip so I can force my kids to listen to me repeat what YOU say. Keep going. I am definitely not bored!

@lonepop, hope you have an amazing trip! I’d like to recommend joining Club1313 as an added measure of preparation for your upcoming visit. Brickey has created a community of people who love Disneyland and people. I’m sure they will help you make the most of your experience.
A TRUE WORK OF ART BRICKEY. Your love of design and Disneyland exude from every frame of this latest video. Thanks for all you do.
Love this! The attention to detail and the story telling is perf
Each Disney visit begins with each family member deciding what they want to do first. My choice is always Main Street USA! Meandering down Main Street, taking in each detail, always seeing something I had missed, or forgotten, is a special time for me. And that my family indulges me, and ultimately gets into the spirit of it, makes it more special. Much of this is due to Emile Kuri, and now I know the name of the person to thank, along with Walt Disney, for my favorite part of the park!
Main street is like " next stop, Willoughby" from Twilight Zone.
Great video. The best part of the bubble is being in it, thoroughly enjoying it, and not knowing it's there - by design. And honestly, I was afraid you were going to bring in the TFR that restricts aircraft over the park as a bubble/dome technicality.
Thank you for making videos that illustrate the art of Disneyland. It makes me appriciate the hard work and detail of Walt's Little Park.
Hey Brickey, I totally enjoy all your facts and history that you share about Disneyland. Thank you for your deep insight that history. Great video and work.
When you are in a Disney park, there is a bubble...That nothing bad can happen. Everything is okay for 12 hours...
Hey Brickey! I’m from Baltimore and I’m 53 and have never been to Disneyland, but plan on going in January 2025. I didn’t realize that our city had as much influence on the design of the park as it has (I would have assumed it was zero). IIRC, the Haunted Mansion exterior was inspired by a mansion here in Baltimore as well. I’ve been to WDW several times, but I’m eager to visit DL. I love getting to know things like this about imagineers. The general public would hardly recognize names like Joe Rohde and Tony Baxter, much less Emil Kuri. So thanks! I’m a former graphic designer and photographer and bit of an armchair imagineer myself, and have been surprised to see some wild ideas I’ve had get implemented. It’s totally coincidental of course, but rewarding to know I had a similar thought process. I had an idea for Dinoland at Animal Kingdom that I hoped would come to fruition, but it looks like it won’t. I still think it would make Chester and Hester’s a smash hit, even though it doesn’t rely on IP. I also have and idea for the old NBA Experience building and make it a Monsters Inc. attraction that is more fun than it has any right to be, but I’m rambling. Anyway, keep going! Lou Mongello and Jim Korkis used to do similar lookbacks into this sort of thing. If you aren’t familiar, you can still check out Communicore Weekly, even though the show ended years ago, now. It was fun and looked into this stuff on a bite-sized level. Your target audience hit me squarely! Looking forward to more!

Holy crap that was long, sorry!
Wow. You are a terrific story teller. Thanks so much
Seriously how did you get Disneyland all to yourself?? Excellent video 👏👏👏 Please tell us your empty Disneyland secret next!
Really loved this history and story. Beautiful footage, too, Brickey❣️🌟
Keep up the History design videos. I / we’re totally here for it all. ❤ 💛
What a great story, keep up the good work.
This was truly awesome. Always grateful to learn more about the real people behind the scenes at the parks and adore how you present it. Thanks so much for always providing us with the absolute best content!
I think you just think this is niche content because nobody really talks about it. I think it's safe to say it's all playing in every fans mind while we are ripping the parks. You are merely verbalizing our super granular thoughts and we love it. Keep it going, broseph!
Thanks for your videos!! I have a new appreciation for the happiness and wonder the park gives me!
Super good and interesting… never thought about Disneyland like this but your totally right on!!!
I love your channel and content. No one does Disney like you; every video adds so many layers of appreciation for the park!
Loved this interesting take on the design. In It’s A Wonderful Life, the pharmacist’s (Mr. Gower) first name in Emil. Do you think there is a connection with Emile Kuri? Who knows!
Great video about Emile Kuri’s brilliant designs! Thanks for all your hard work providing this very interesting content!
Hey Brickey! I really enjoyed your video. Your very talented on videoing and on the commentary part. Watching your videos is therapeutic for me. Went there in the 1970’s as kid and now with my grandkids. Excellent job Brickey 👊
I am professional interior designer and I really appreciate this video so much. Great content. And glad it popped up on my feed as I know it’s several months old. 😊
Bring me to the berm dome! So much thoughtful design - long may it continue. Another Brickey masterpiece 👏🏼
To create that feeling, it looks to me that at 18:48, the Disney showcase building, I see the “third” story is not as tall as the second one based on the number of horizontal boards I’m counting..
Always, always enjoy these videos! I know much time and thought goes into them. Thanks for doing these!
Im really grateful you are making these types of videos. Thank you friend!
Yes Brickey, found this vlog fascinating and very much admire your work. I agree with you about the popcorn buckets, but wouldn’t mind having the new Mr Toad pail!
I loved this video. I knew a little bit about Emile Kuri but it was fun to learn more and about other disneyland designers!
Love the niche content, Bickey! Thanks keep it up! 😁😊
Well done. That rich design history is what i love learn about.
These are the best types of videos. I would like to see you expand out of the Disney bubble and do other theme parks all across the country.
Fantastic video- thank you Brickey!! 💫
Hey Brickey, I commented last night from my phone after viewing this piece on my father, Emile Kuri. I don't see the comment in this string of comments today. The picture you've included of a man holding an Oscar®is not my father. If you'll correct that I'll be pleased to provide you with a picture of Dad with Walt. There are a few other facts that could be corrected. Overall, thanks for doing this piece. It is nice to see what you're attempting here, providing interesting insight to one of America's great treasures. Best, John Kuri

I thought that wasn’t him! When I worked on Main Street I was fascinated by the horse hitching posts. They were my favorite thing!
Excellent video, love this stuff. And the shots in Fantasyland without people! Nice work man.
Thanks for another great video. I don't have any room in my life (or my apartment) for popcorn buckets but I always have room for Disneyland history. 🤘
My mother in law loves it's a wonderful life, I cant wait to share this information with here. Thank you Mark for sharing with us!
I love this stuff. You present it so well
The Plaza Inn has or had the chandeliers that lowered for clearing. I know because I lowered them back in 1989
Love these!
Disneyland is in a reality bubble. You leave one reality and enter another reality.
Best video you’ve done so far! Love it !
great history, thanks so much.
18:33 "rare spices" oh no, don't tell Drape
Hey Brickey... long time viewer... subbed and liked. Keep it going!
Another amazing history lesson!!
Wonderful job Brickey.
Awesome Job Brickey.
Outstanding
Thanks
Thanks Brickey!
That was really entertaining. History>Popcorn Buckets
History on the DL popcorn bucket?? 😂 kidding please no 😂😂😂❤
Hey Brickey: Are you an IATSE brother? You’re the only youtuber I watch who seems to correctly understand who-does-what in film & TV production 🕯️
This content is so joyous! Deep information and appreciation. I just love savoring them. Thanks for bringing your magic to the magic of Disneyland. #Club1313
The bubble I love to be in!
I love Disneyland history more than I love Disneyland Popcorn Buckets
Urban legends
😊❤
I get so nervous when you do those shots away from the camera. Waiting for someone to walk through every time.
Here at 5,109 views. ...No.
Really loved this one. Thanks for unpacking this story! Off to read more about him…
