Can these D&D Homebrew Subclasses be Saved?

I've been deep down the homebrew subclass rabbit hole as I work on my own module, and I wanted to take you along with me! Today we'll be looking at four D&D Beyond homebrew subclasses and discuss what works, what doesn't, and what we can possibly do to make them more suitable for everyone's favorite roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons.
Do you have a subclass of your own that you're fond of? Please tell me about it! My favorite part of D&D is hearing how varied and unique each persons thoughts and experiences are, and that includes all the cool homebrew classes people make!
Don't be afraid to tell me what kind of content you'd like to see in the future, either! I'm currently just trying a plethora of things to see what sticks, and if there's something you want to see, I can make it happen!

Currently making a ton of Homebrew for a game, but my favorite subclass for the official dnd classes I'm building goes to the Artificer with a geologist subclass that uses crystals to alter their spells.

That sounds awesome! Having an artificer that harnesses the raw power of crystals and gemstones is practically oozing with flavor. I'm curious as to how the subclass plays, as the description so far reads almost like a utility based caster, sort of like the alchemist. If you're willing, I'd love to hear more!

@@KrazyKDice Currently I'm more focused on building the full classes I'm adding like Reaper, Voodooist, Magical Girl, etc. However the plan is to have it work as a subclass that gives you extra infusions with a rule that it has to be used on "Gem Infusions", each type of gem effects the infusions in a different way and so does how they use the stones. For example if you built a Geologist Artificer and wanted to focus on aoe effects that deal radiant damage you would take the necklace infusion "Bejeweled Reach" which gives all your jeweled infusions an option to cause a burst aoe instead of rolling to attack (vs spell DC obviously) and then you'd take a gem, rock or mineral like Moonstone, Uranium, White Quartz, etc. Very much a "I use these tools to grant the power of this gem to me and my allies" type thing.

@@reddiamond2547 And that's fantastic! The mix and match aspect seems to lend to a crazy amount of versatility. One of my biggest peeves with D&D (in my opinion) is that some spell effects are much less represented than others (Looking at you, acid damage). This would totally solve that problem, and open up a ton of different playstyles. Thanks for sharing!

@@KrazyKDice it's no biggie, just something I'm building to expand player options before they deal with the horrors of my world.

I have soooo many subclasses in my notes and I’m not gonna go into depth on any unless you really want me to but I’ll just list a few of the ideas: -A Ranger subclass based around legendary monsters and gaining miniature versions of legendary actions and lair actions. -An Artificer subclass that’s based around legendary forge masters, putting multiple infusions on one item and giving access to more powerful infusions that don’t fade when you die -A blood magic monk that uses their blood like the symbiots in Venom, covering themselves in it and shaping it into natural weapons or powerful tentacles -A Fighter subclass based around dream logic and bringing that to the real world, their sword slashes leave temporary steel arcs in the air and they can appear next to someone as though they were always meant to be there

These are just a few of the ones that I feel decently confident about and that I “finished” there’s still probably at least like 40 other ideas I have in my notes lol

Also I haven’t looked around anywhere but I’m sure some of these have already been done

@@Liam_theX It doesn't matter if they've been done before! Your creations are unique to you. I for one love the idea of a blood magic themed monk. Thank you for sharing!
