yes great shot, and the Deer didn't suffered much, jumped 3 or 4 times and then it lay down. I think when they get hit by a pullet they are more on adrenaline, maybe they feel the impact much more or so, don't know. But impressive, over 100 meter, respect!

I have the R26! It’s my bucket list buy! I shot a buck last year at 74yrds. Smoked him. Just be sure to do yearly upkeep on them and change the cable every other year.

I have R26 and it’s not that the bow isn’t capable of being accurate at that yardage but I know my limits and I hope others think of this also. Don’t be that guy to make crossbow hunters look like turds. Just because this guy has the capability doesn’t mean you should just go off and start flinging bolts at deer at 100 yards.

@vintage3015 You are certainly not wrong but that statement literally applies to everything hunting and shooting related, and really anything in general. My corvette can go 150 but I’m not trained to handle that speed. If you are not comfortable shooting a deer at 100 with a rifle, don’t do it. If 400 is too far, don’t do it. For some 800 isn’t too far. A disclaimer is not always necessary. If a weapon can perform and perform well, it goes without saying, only do what you personally can do.

He legit just proved in this video he can kill a deer at 100yards just bc u can’t do that doesn’t mean others can’t. Guys wound deer at 20 yards all time with a bow and yet every bow hunter will take a 20 yard shot.

@@timleisseure9573 Very true. Lack of practice wounds deer at all ranges. I also want to ask those who think it’s unethical to shoot the Ravin at 100 what exactly it is they paid over $2000 for the bow if not for the speed and ability to shoot that far. My $150 Barnett from Walmart can easily get it done out to 60 yards. If you limit yourself to less then 75 yards then why would you want a Ravin?

I'm definitely buying one.

@Susan Menegus The r26 is pretty impressive for sure! I can’t bring myself to pay that much for one so far though. If I didn’t already have a compound bow it would be much harder.

@bodhranlowd This was on 3000 acres of private land and a managed hunt club. The deer was young and you will notice the sun was also at my back in the deer's face. Even with all that, I can't say I have had anything like that happen many times in my years of hunting. Pretty cool!

I never saw a deer stand still looking at me and let me walk up and not bolt. Hmm

@tb456852 It was 40 yards. The ravin shoots so slow the arrow arcs that bad at 40 yards. It’s like shooting a 20 year old Barnet.

@bruce9987 I made the mistake of putting it all in the smoker. Deer just doesn’t have enough fat to turn out like I prefer it when prepared that way. I like it in the crockpot with some gravy!

That was unethical as hell! especially with those high winds. We own it to the game we take not to take stupid chances that greatly increase the odds of a bad shot and losing the animal. I am happy that shot worked out that time, but that was some BS! I have the same bow and would have never tried that in those hight winds or on an alert deer. One step you go from lungs to guts. SMH

@wpdmib108 Not even close to unethical. Very easily repeatable. Just because you don’t have the ability to drive your corvette 100 mph doesn’t mean it can’t and others shouldn’t. Same with long range shooting. I can easily and repeatably kill deer out to 700 yards. Just because someone else cannot doesn’t mean it’s unethical. You do you. But don’t limit the gear based on your personal preference or level of practice.

Why edit the video on the close up replay? A 100 yard shot on an alert deer, WITH a moderate wind is asking for trouble, you flat out got lucky here. Respect the quarry, don't put this out there for others to imitate, it won't go this way MOST of the time.

@jusaguy9849 You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Do what works for you. The ravin can obviously get it done at 100 if you want to. It’s like shooting a 300 mag at 1000. Some days can and some can’t.

Nah. You can't gauge range from video, especially when camera man is far behind the shooter. I have an R26. The arc of the arrow was way more than what it would have been for 50 yds. Those Ravins shoot pretty flat. I believe it was 100 yds or close enough to it.

Deer wasn’t old enough to know to run. Sorry but so unethical shooting any game at 100 yards with a bow of any sorts. You got lucky and hit a vein in the neck on a small deer.
