Keeping the chrono at least one full arrow length away from the end of the crossbow will give you more accurate results. If the distance is less than that, the arrow has not yet come up to full speed before it passes the first sensor in the front since it hasn't yet left the string. I keep my chrono about 30" in front, so one and a half arrow lengths, for the best results. Just a tip. Nice video.

Awesome test guys! U might want to add a couple of tests at different yardages and also make sure they are both at least fairly close to the bull on each distance if possible. There was def something wrong with the seige shooting a foot high at 80 something was screwy there but overall a good test. Next time i would include an offhand shooting test or maybe testing with no rest like prone, sitting , and standing all offhand. For a real world comparison. But overall great job i think i know what i am getting next. Since my 10pt just blew up in my face and almost took off my face!!

You need to check at Ravin crossbow your string and your cables have stretched you've lost poundage and that's why the bowl is shooting slower then it should be

Nice Video!👍 It looks like the R26 is a little more constant in bolt velocity. But in my opinion the reverse system is the better technique to increase the acceleration distance without having to make the crossbow stronger or longer itself.

Yes the r26 shoots tighter, and more consistant speeds. I think it shoots tighter from the lack of a rail, since it uses 2 small wheels to hold the bolt.

They are both really nice shooting bows. Its crazy to think you can actually shoot 80-100 yards with these crossbows. Hunting range is of course 60 yards or lower. But still, they are accurate and fast. And small size, which is great for tree stands and hunting.

The Ravin string is a couple of years old. The loss of power is from the old string. Ravin recommends you change the string after 200 shots or two years.

The shooter is the problem and the sight in of the xbows its not a fair test for either you have to sight in and shoot a pre determined sighted target not a random hay lets shoot 80 yards then OH look its a foot high the ravin is winning .That is purely the shooter and or the sight in of the weapon.Say you like the Ravin and go on let the experts run tests ..

We changed shooters up, both were zeroed at 20 yards, both chronoed, both speed dials set to chrono speeds. We just could not get the Seige to settle down at long ranges(past 50 yards) If we adjust the speed dial more, of course it pulls down or up , all the other pips other than center pip at 20. What can i say..other than the ravin could be shot from 20 yards, out to 100yards with no issues using the pips as indicated in the scopes recticle. The tenpoint would not. It would only shoot well 50 and under. When we moved to longer distances the recticle pips were not close to the indicated pip distances. We will play with it more. Its more of a moot point since we dont hunt past 50yards anyway. My Tenpoint Titan shoots great, I have no Bias either way product wise, I am not affiliated in anyway with these companies.
