My guess is that even though the Level 4 body armor stopped the 338 Lapua round, if you were the guy wearing the vest, you would be going to the hospital from the resulted of blunt trauma impact . Depending on where the round hit it would be like getting hit in the chest with a sledge hammer. Who knows what kind of damage that round would do from the blunt trauma.

That round blue right through. On the replay you can see the sand drain out of the bag.. Lapua a p round definitely ate Right through it As well as the 308 armor piercing round.. Proofs in the pudding I would have Dumped the sandbag . 100% both of the jackets and the steel penetrators are in it. .

The colour of the plate liner is likely due to a proprietary fill. Generally the fill is carbon black (natural gas soot) and is why most rubber is black. Hydraulic hose, for instance, is around 30% acrylic plastic, 30% nitrile rubber, 30% carbon black and the remainder is processing agents and polymerization catalyst, etc.

So…. to help everybody understand why that body armor wouldn’t do you many favors… If you are turned sideways in the middle of the road. And a car slams into you at 50 mph. Did it penetrate your vehicle? Probably not. But consider what’s going to happen to the parts of your body that are on the other side of the distortion that occurs when that car rams into you. If the force doesn’t kill you and that’s a big if you are definitively out of the fight.

@@GoingBallisticit's because the romanian PSL is not a sniper system, but a support rifle with scope intended for medium range squad support, many peoples confuse it with the SVD (wich is indeed a far superior accuracy sniper system than the PSL),the barell design of the PSL is made to have a figh barell harmonics just to do that tumble when going subsonic just to inflict massive damage on soft target on the limit of medium range, check our romanian mountain hunters army

For those that wear body armor all day.. It's SOOO appreciated. But as a side note, I still would not want to behit by one. The kineticenergy would probably still stop your heart.
